    Re: Star Wars: Digital Collection

As much as I want it, I can't justify the expense since I own the BD's and well the price is too high. I would've grabbed them for $59.99. And really hope this digital mess pressures Disney to join UV and cement UV as the sole digital locker service. The whole thing is silly with Disney holding out.

Glad to see the price dropped back down to $90 on Vudu. That definitely makes them the better choice again.

I wonder if the $100 price was a mistake. I was surprised it had gone up on release day, when the pre-order had been $90 a few days ago. I double-checked the price before I posted my last comment and it was still $100 at that time.

On the other hand, Vudu was $10 more expensive than some of the other retailers for the complete set. So it sort of comes down to whether having A New Hope in UV is worth $10 to you or not. I figure it will be DMA at some future point.

Ah, my bad, sorry. The way it was phrased, it sounded to me like he was saying that the Lucasfilm logo had only been added to 5 of the movies. Thanks for the clarification!

This will take some getting used to now that Disney has the rights to them. At least they didn't add the Walt Disney logo.

I want to say the Lucasfilm logo appeared on the Blu-ray release...except for ANH which still had the 20th Century Fox opening.

    Edit.
The Blu-rays have the 20th Century Fox logo followed by the Lucasfilm logo with the original fanfare playing over both. The digital releases (except ANH) have just the Lucasfilm logo and a totally different fanfare. Really crappy fanfare at that...The original 20th Century Fox fanfare was so much better.

Any idea why ANH is not available in Flixster? All of my other UV titles are there, but ANH is showing as unavailable.

    Thanks!

Many movie pages on various devices/screens haven't gotten the UV logo until a day or two after release.
