Fandango Forum Guidelines

The Fandango are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango experience. Here, Fandango customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango Streaming and Fandango Streaming related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Fandango customers with questions and/or problems with their Fandango Streaming service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Fandango Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Fandango Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Fandango reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum
2. Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses or other forms of contact information

    contacted our IT guy - he says there are no restrictions on outgoing ports as we also have DirecTV which requires open ports for the Genie systems to work without a phone line

    Error code 28 is usually synonymous with a network blockage of some sort. Try opening the following ports on your router and see if that helps. The ports 843, 13207, 13217, 13227, 13237, 13247, 13257 are the specific ports required to be open. Some firewalls request a port range - in which case 13,200 to 13299 (TCP protocol).

    Whenever i get error 28, i reset my modem it has something to do with the ip address its worth a shot anyways

    Thanks. I don't know about "continuing to work with Customer Care" since I haven't heard a peep from them. but I will wait and continue to use Amazon and Netflix in the meantime.

    I am having the exact same problem on my Tivo Roamio. Vudu worked fine for over a year, but just recently started returning the error code 28. I submitted a help request on April 21, but have heard nothing from customer service after the initial automatic email telling me "Your email is important to us and we will respond to you shortly." It seems "important" and "shortly" are open to interpretation...

    I tried deactivating and reactivating the device, which worked once, so I thought all was good. But when I tried to get in later that night, it was back to the error code 28 screen.

    It's all very strange... so apparently no luck on his end so back to the drawing board for now. Thanks for your help though... and I'm not gonna exit the app for a while...

    Hmmm - Just heard that he's connected after a bunch of tries... strange... you might have done it.

    Thanks, appreciate it. So on my end it took three tries but it connected, I will check with my friend about his and get back to you, otherwise i'll open a support ticket if it was just a fluke.
