Let me know when you get the GL then you can really start to have some fun with loading some firmware and configuring the router for QOS....

I'll definitely let you know when I get the GL in, though I'm not sure if it'll make it this week. And I'll keep ya'll posted on the green/yellow status. I reset my network stats and told my VUDU I wanted to rent "Knocked Up" which was marked as available and it is downloading and claiming to be available in a few days... so we'll see what happens!

Now however my VUDU is failing the internet connectivity test, anyone have any ideas?

UPDATE: Reconfigured to use a static IP and it now passes the internet connectivity test but cannot connect to VUDU

I just came home and noticed that the Vudu box is red. I unplugged the box and restarted it. It was green for about a second and then turned red where it still is. I have the box wired via the Netgear router. Is anyone else having this problem?

You may want to look at the Linksys WRT54GL:

    http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Cisco-...6650998&sr=8-1

Its a good solid router and it can be flashed with 3rd party firmware if you want to enable QOS since you are a vonage user....

Now if you still have this issue with a new router then the next step is to look what your provider is doing with their modem when connected to a router. Are you a DSL subscriber?

Note: there is no port forwarding needed for VUDU to work, nor does it require any specific way of getting its IP (i.e. both static or DHCP should work).

I'm gonna do a forum search and see if there are any specific ports being used and then take the box off DHCP and setup some port forwarding.

Ron, I'll give it a go this evening then and let ya' know how it goes. Thanks for the info!
