I noticed at one point Rick and Morty was censored and was requested to not be and soon after we got all 3 seasons uncensored. The way I think about VUDU is, it is a streaming service for what I own. My purchased digital collection. When I go into a store and purchase a digital copy of a film then use the digital code I get the movie in my library as is. No advertisements, bonus features, etc, as it should be since I did spend my money to purchase it. However, it is not the same for all television series. I purchased a couple seasons of Family Guy, American Dad, and all seasons of The Walking Dead. I bring this up because all of those shows have advertisements and are censored. If I want to watch them censored I would just pay for Netflix and stream them all over purchasing them. I should get Negan saying the F*** word, and all of the uncensored episodes of Family Guy and America dad with NO ads. I already purshased it, no need to advertise anything.
The VUDU company should get into a conversation with Xfinity to have the VUDU application on the X1 Xfinity cable software. On top of that, whatever movies are purchased via Xfinity on Demand should be transferred to VUDU like they would be from google, Disney Movies Anywhere, etc.
Lastly, it truly boggles my mind that there is STILL no way to customize the order or folders of the purchases I make. I have a couple examples of where this would be a phenomenal update and shouldn't take much to code customization into the app itself.
!) Say I buy a Seth Rogan movie bundle and "Knocked up" is included in this bundle, but "This is 40" is a sequel to "Knocked Up", I'm not going to want to keep the Seth Rogan Movie bundle folder together and I'm going to want "Knocked up" and "This is 40" next to each other.
2) I would say I'm a pretty big movie buff and I'm kind of OCD about it. I not only want my franchises to be next to each other but certain properties separated. For example let's take Marvel for example. Until recently These movies franchises were separated due to copyright ownership from Sony, Fox, and Disney. I think it would be great to give the consumers (us) the ability to create bundles ourselves after purchasing and even add or take away from the bundle. If this were possible I would have 3 Marvel Bundles next to each other, and within each bundle have each thing in chronological order. So one folder/bundle would be named "Marvel Cinematic Universe", and the order of the movies inside would be the order in which to watch them, not necessarily the release date order. So
1) Captain America - The First Avenger
2) Iron Man
3) The Incredible Hulk
4) Thor
5) Iron Man 2
6) The Avengers
ETC
Same goes for DC as far as having the DC Extended Universe movies in one folder in the order I want them to be in,
Same goes for the Alien Franchise including the prequels like Prometheus and Alien Consonant,
Same for the Monster Movie Universe with Godzilla and Kong Skull Island,
ETC, Any movies that belong together instead of having Captain America The Winter Soldier at the very bottom of my list and Civil War at the top, so on and so forth.
Who agrees with me on this and can we please make these changes happen.
The fact that I would have to purchase films I have already purchased just to keep sequels together is absurd and in my opinion greedy and you know what you're doing.
We would all appreciate this changes.
