Telling them did not seem to matter. I did exactly what you suggested - told VUDU customer service that I understood that this deletion was permanent and that I would no longer be able to stream or download. Was told by reply email that they would delete only delete if I replied back and confirmed that I understood that once they deleted each that I would "...not be able to add it on unless you purchase them."

Oooh, interesting. I always assumed that if we redeemed a UV code on Vudu, it was treated like a purchase on Vudu, in that it was added to our Vudu account and then from owning it on Vudu we acquired a UV license, but it sounds like Vudu simply passes through the license request to UV, and it's not actually owned on your Vudu account. (Not counting UV license sharing.)

If you're saying that you deleted it on UVVU.com, then maybe you redeemed it from a studio website? Or maybe UV content redeemed at Vudu can be removed from Vudu by deleting the UVVU copy? I am pretty sure that content purchased at Vudu can't be deleted by deleting it at UVVU.com.

Either that or I just have the only UVVU account that works the way it's supposed to

I understand your point. Clearly that is the case for non-UV titles - they have nothing to do with UVVU. Not sure I agree with the logic as applies to UV titles, but I understand what you are saying.

If I can only delete at the site of acquisition, I will handle it that way.

Seems to make sense that it should work that way regardless of where I access my library or where I add or delete titles.

If I can only delete UV titles from the site I purchased them from, OK. Seems inefficient and contrary to concept of UV, but I can accept that my interpretation of logic does not match up to current UV world.

Again, not a huge problem. I will worry about managing my library as the process continues to evolve.
as it was explined to me by the Vudu CSR's you can delete at UVVU.com but as a added protection vudu requires anything bought on VUDU.com to be deleted by them as well. but if you delete it on uvvu.com it will no longer share to the other services. Also i also only watch on Vudu but i do redeem or purchase on the other sites if i cannot get the movie i want on vudu (Jersey Girl, Say Anything) are two examples

I get that insofar as we are talking about titles that are unique to VUDU (not UV). For UV titles, I am not sure I understand why the same logic that allows having UV titles populate across the other UV sites does not apply to deletions - if VUDU is interfacing with UVVU for added titles, why not deletions?

Not a huge issue - for now I will just sit on the stuff I would eventually like to cull.

I've noticed Vudu takes the longest to disappear from. Flixster and Target Ticket next. CN it usually disappears right away (if it ever showed up in the first place. That site sucks).

Those old freebie SD movies I eventually upgraded to HDX will also show that I own SD and HDX on Vudu for a few days. Eventually the SD portion disappears.

Don't know - have not tried that. Both of the titles I tried to delete were acquird via VUDU.
