The new movie isn't the Fantastic Four anyway. It's Power Pack. A bunch of kids.

Fantastic Four has never been 'gritty'. Fantastic Four is basically the goofy sitcom of the Marvel Universe.

I agree on Fantastic Four. They'd obviously have to recast Human Torch, but the other three actors were fine.

As for Andrew garfield, he was offered the change to stay on for the new movie and he passed.

I flat out refuse to see it. I seriously hope it fails at the box office and the rights revert to Marvel/Disney

Chris Evans is now Captain America. It would be kinda weird having him play two Marvel super heroes in the same year.

Vudu and others have pulled them from the search system, they are not available for rental or sale (a stupid move on Fox's behalf in my opinion):

They were pulled by Fox temporarily. The supposed explanation is that they don't want people associating them with the new FF movie that is coming out. They pulled them from all of the services including Amazon, Netflix and even iTunes. Supposedly they will be available for rental or purchase again as soon as the new movie is released in August.

In the mean time if you already own them on any service they will still be available to you. They just don't want to scare non owners away from the new movie.

I wish Vudu would change that. It's inconvenient.

If they were ultraviolet they should still be viewable at those sites. Also Itunes and Amazon keep them in your library even if they don't sale them anymore.

I have both. Both were added via in-store D2D.

A quick Amazon search shows you can get a used copy of the first movie for less than $5 shipped. If you D2D that would be $10 (or $7.50 if you used the 10 movie discount). Cheaper than buying directly from any of the various services when they were for sale. I think I converted mine when the 2 pack Blu Ray set went on sale somewhere for less than $10.
Unfortunately, neither of my copies ever worked in VuduToGo.

Since I have the discs, I'm stubbornly holding out as long as the 50% off sale goes on, in the hope of not paying more for the inconvenience of having to step foot in Walmart.

Appreciate the heads up. I had not yet got around to adding Silver Surfer and went ahead and did it today.
