Yes, sticks. Which is also my same rant out UHD, only theatrical and not extended.

WB totally messed up this release, but then they messed up the original cut as well.

Guess if they want to keep our business they need to become more competitive with the other online chains. I was willing to pay the 35 for the 3D combo that I was already charged for through PayPal to early watch, but I am sure that in the end it will hit down to around 25 come release day from other retailers and Walmart doesn't retro price match in my past experience. Too bad. I will give it til tomorrow to see what happens.
I don't might paying Vudu a few bucks more D+D if it gets me early digital viewing. Otherwise it seems they either charge even more or charge similar to Amazon but don't allow early watch. What's the point then, I'll just get it from Amazon on street date for less money.

I typically buy at least one more each week, usually more, sometimes 4-5 so Amazon gets the bulk of my movie money.

I know it's controlled more by studios but if I pay more then Amazon it's not going to be much more and I'm going to want a disc as well. Likewise I'll also want early watch. Not meet any of that criteria and I buy from Amazon. Also with UHD I almost exclusively buy from Amazon since D+D does UHD and Instawatch sometimes (rarely) is on UHD titles so you can at least get HDX instant and add UHD digital when the title arrives.

I think Vudu and the studios would prefer to go all digital and get rid of discs if they could. But the pricing has to be a lot better. Since that's not going to happen anytime soon then we need UHD (digital and disc) on UHD releases and D+D on ALL titles.

The whole thing is just frustrating. The studios are somewhat trying to update their business but their practices are still largely stuck in decades old practices. I've got loads to spend on movies but I'm not going to just throw it at the studios. If they gave a bit more they would get a lot more from me.

The InstaWatch and Vudu Digital have always been hit or miss. Sometimes it doesn't state IW but it gives it. Sometime it states it and you get early watch, sometimes it's disc release date. It's really annoying.

The Vudu D+D is much better. Everything in in one place. It's clear what it is. And you get to watch it as soon as it's on digital.

Honestly I'll try buying it and see if I get digital viewing. If it doesn't show up in my Vudu account (sometimes mins, hours, or overnight) then I just cancel and add buy the disc cheaper at Amazon and add it on disc street date.

It looks like the 3D and Regular BD physical copies from Walmart.com come with a "Vudu Copy".

    1. The UHD doesn't state it comes with Vudu copy like 3D and 2D version do. Can you please confirm ?
    2. Why is this states as Vudu Digital and not InstaWatch ?

That's surprising since Warner Bros. usually participates in everything.

    Boo ! ! !

Guess I'll be waiting quite a few more weeks to get the UHD disc and redeem it instead as it's a much better value then buying the digital from Vudu directly.

    Oh well.
