Is there a way to get into the at home D2D beta? I've been taking several trips to WalMart over the last few weeks to begin converting my collection and I'd love to stop driving.

Regarding the sales tax, I have an interesting update to that. I am being charged sales tax for my purchases. I did a conversion at the store this weekend, however, and was not charged sales tax there. I found that odd.

I still had a batch of $2 off coupons so I had to go to the store to get rid of them.

THOUGH I don't know if it makes a difference but I've been using credits thus far and nothing has been charged to the credit until I run out of credits so perhaps that could be a difference.

Technically it is based on physical presence (I assume Walmart is in every state) - but many states don't tax "digital goods".

Interesting, 24 states as of the date the list was updated require Vudu to collect taxes.

I don't know if this is what Blurayfan was talking about. I only did one home D2D and I had to rummage through all my DVD's to find one that I actually hadn't taken into the store and done already.

I did notice when I look at the Balance and History web page, it doesn't list the titles, just a lump sum charge. Unless you save the purchase results on your computer with a screen print, you'll have no record of the titles you purchased. The PC program doesn't seem to have a print option.

I agree it seems fast and usable. Wish I had a Blu-ray player in my computer, so I could convert a couple of those. Maybe I can borrow one....hmmmm...

The whole reason I was excited about the new home D2D service by Vudu is because I thought that they were going to have additional movies and studios involved so that I could convert more movies. So far it seems that these are the same movies that they had on the version where you take them to a Walmart store. Not much of a difference to me because I already took the ones available to the store.
