Audio sync slightly off Star Wars bundle films

I've tried watching the films in the Star Wars bundles on my Vizio TV, an Xbox 360 and a Samsung Blu Ray player with audio through my Yamaha surround receiver as well as using the TV speakers for audio and all the films seem to be at least a touch out of sync. Episode 4 A New Hope seems to be the worst of the bunch in that respect but they all have a sync problem, albeit slight, just enough for me to notice, and I find it very annoying.

I have quite a few movies on Vudu and these are the only ones that I'm seeing this in Anyone else notice this?

Yeap, having the same issues. Episode IV is really bad.

On another note: I purchased the bundle on VUDU and have VUDU / Disney / Google linked, but Episode IV isn't showing in Google Play. Anyone else having this problem?

Episode IV is not UV or DMA, so it will not transfer over to any other services.

Episode IV is UV it is not DMA so it transfers to cinemanow and Flixster but not to Itunes and Google Play

Thanks danglin, I thought I had heard that that was the case, but when I checked the Vudu website there was no UV logo on Ep. IV.

              Thanks for the info...

Although I have to say this is ridiculous... "bundle"... yeah...

But wait, Episode VII is coming, so we can once again purchase "all" Star Wars movies in a new bundle... I can already see the sticker on this one:

"Now includes DMA EVEN for Episode IV!!!!! + preview trailer of Episode IV with sync audio (available in 2018 with the release of Episode VIII)"

I guess, there is a reason, it's called "A new hope"...

edit: Just checked: The bundle on VUDU still just says "Lucasfilm Ltd"... no mention of Fox... judging from other posts here, there should at least be a disclaimer, warning people of the fact, that this bundle isn't fully DMA...

I know this is an old thread.....but I'm also noticing lipsyc issues on the Star Wars films......mostly Episode 4. I also own them on Apple and Ep4 isn't as bad there. Been thinking it was my setup.

Guessing this won't ever get fixed. Maybe when they re-released in 4K

Is there a particular section of ep 4 you can point to for me to test? I bought this bundle shortly before ep 7 was released to catch up again, watched all 6 of them on a PS3 and noticed no issues... Might be an issue with the device you watch it with? Again if there is a particularly bad section you can point to I can test it again...

I first noticed it at the beginning when Leia talks to Vadar and the scene right after where he says the plans aren't aboard the ship. It's subtle....but I could see it.

I played around a bit with my setup and think I did some things to help it a bit. Ep4 still seems just a hair off at a times. I've tested on both my Samsung app built into the TV and my TiVo.

We are watching Ep5 now and haven't noticed anything.

Yup checked on a Win10 PC and PS3 and that section is definitely out of sync. Other parts I checked are a bit harder to tell but seem out of sync too... Hopefully a moderator picks this up...

Any update on this? or has Vudu not been able to reproduce this issue?

I'm sure they have been able to reproduce the issue, but Disney is awful about fixing their encodes. Still waiting on corrected versions of the first Pixar Short Films Collection and Enemy of the State too. Hopefully with evidence that they are expanding their digital footprint, they will start paying more attention to this format.

Maybe we'll get nice UHD transfers of the original cuts ;-)
