    Where is Young Frankenstein (1974)?

Nobody has a streaming version of this film for sale. Not VUDU, Google Play, Amazon, Fandango or iTunes. It's a classic! What's the issue?

It's a 20th Century Fox movie, the Blu-ray has been out since 2008.

Can?t say for sure as I haven?t checked each and every one but seems to be case across many of the Mel Brooks movies.

Many times streaming rights are purchased with the cable rights.

For example, the original Star Wars trilogy and prequels cannot be shown on a streaming service because TNT owns the VOD streaming rights to them (Netflix type VOD, same sort of arrangement they have ending soon with Disney). Movies made in the 70s and 80s frequently are owned by their production companies and only under distribution deals at the studios. For example, Blade Runner is owned by Alcon, Buckaroo Bamzai has never had a sequel because the producers are blocking it. The Wizard of Speed and Time remains unavailable on video since the 80s because of this as well. There was a large exodus of films from Fox to WB like Point Break, and Freejack just became available again through Sony after hopping, along with other Morgan Creek titles from WB.

Without specific knowledge of Young Frankenstein?s arrangements, I can?t comment on which of many issues it is, but TAPS is likewise unavailable for digital purchase for likely similar reasons.
