Bumblebee movie neither UV or MA?

Just saw the new VUDU pre-order promo for Bumblebee. There are no icons for either UV or Movies Anywhere.

I know it's a Paramount movie. Did they drop out of UV before its demise?

Yes they did, all studios except Sony had completely dropped out of UV. I'm sure Sony will go very soon as well.

Not true. Paramount has plenty of older titles that are still UV enabled. Bumblebee might eventually get it like Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse was on the day of release, but it won't be surprising if new titles are no longer UV enabled.

Well, I believe older Paramount titles are still UV so they haven?t completely left UV like other studios did. But I think all new releases post Mission Impossible Fallout have been without UV

Paramount released movies after Mission Impossible: Fallout aren't being UV enabled. UV is going away. It doesn't make sense for it to be UV enabled. I would rather have Paramount join MA.

As chance would have it there was an email from Paramount yesterday, which I assume everyone interested got.

There is a Disc version with digital, so the question will be how it will be digital. Is it possible UV will be available at the time of the disc release?

My assumption is it will either be tied to one provider or can be used at any provider that accepts codes and then after redemption the movie will only be at the retailer to which the code was redeemed.

UV at release is still possible for sure. My hope is that Paramount joins MA after UV is gone.

Not to reignite the Holy Wars, but without family sharing, I am not clear as to the purpose of MA.I get that I can see things on multiple services, but I will miss collecting movies alongside my brother and my best friend.

I appreciate it's how it worked as well as it has.

But I don't think they ever intended for people to pool their purchases which only reduced overall sales.

All that said I was looking at the numbers and UV has substantially more, like way more users. It's really surprising that not only are they going away, but that so many studios jumped ship.

                      Sigh.

Overall, we three bought many more films as a result, just to have them as a group. We have our own private Netflix without seeing the films go away. I have already skipped at least a half dozen titles I would have picked up otherwise, including Jurassic World II, Aquaman and A House with a Clock in it's Walls as a consequence. I like all three movies okay, but am not gonna buy them for just me.

From elsewhere, seems Bumblebee is only a single redeem, and not part of UV or MA. I got it on Vudu anyway.

It's Paramount title, so it won't be MA at all, period.

That is true unless some time in the future Paramount decides to join MA. And then if they decide their previous titles will be MA.
