I would like to see The Stargate SG1 movie(The Ark of Truth) that is supposed to come out in March. HD availability would be awesome. I would definitely purchase an HD version and rent an SD version.

It was similar with Babylon5: The lost Tales movie. I bought the DVD but they ended up having an HD version on Xbox Live, which was the only place I know of where an HD version was viewable. So I purchased the disc to support them and still rented the HD version.
With the Stargate movie I would do the same thing. I will still purchase the DVD and if it's availabe on VUDU to purchase in HD I will do that as well.
Even if it's only available in SD, if it's availabe on VUDU before I can get the disc I will rent it from VUDU to be able to watch right away.Comment

I don't know if this is fact for sure, but there are some series that ARE available in HD format, like Star Trek Enterprise, but licensed only to view in HD on the HDNET channel. So even though the Sci-Fi channel is in HD it does not show any re-runs of Enterprise episodes in HD.Originally posted by aaronwt View Post

I have the DVD on the way to me. If VUDU has an HD version of this I will definitely be renting it from them even though I will have the
DVD.
It's an extremely rare event for me to purchase or watch a DVD.Comment

Time can only tell. The only advanced list of titles that VUDU publishes right now is on the box itself. Well I decided to go out to Best Buy and purchase it, which I picked up for free with my rewards zone points. I just couldn't wait for VUDU to figure this out. Although, I still wouldnt mind seeing VUDU pick up an HD version.Originally posted by RonV View Post
