Also would like to request this. Almost bought the first 5 for 7.99/ea on sale until I saw the whole collection is $25 on itunes. After realizing I'd be paying almost twice as much, I decided not to.

I guess you have to say to yourself, does my Vudu experience outweigh my itunes experience? My Apple TV is sure packing the dust.

Not really what I was saying, have no intent on purchasing it at itunes. Just knowing it's available for that price, as from what I believe studios have a say in the pricing of movies, made me not purchase them separately on Vudu. I'd gladly pay a little more for movies on vudu as opposed to itunes, just not twice as much. Case in point: The Rambo trilogy was recently $5 less on iTunes, but still purchased it on Vudu. I could also definitely see paying more if they were UV-enabled (which they probably will end up being, and I'll kick myself for not buying them earlier, like when Iron Man was originally available for D2D and I waited on it).

There's your answer. There are obviously people who are willing to pay twice as much. That's why Vudu has it priced as they do. But still, us customers have no idea what studios charge VOD providers. I've seen no reason to assume each VOD provider would be charged the same amount by the studio as the next VOD provider. There's thread after thread of people posting how Vudu charges more than iTunes, Netflix, etc. Why is the general assumption that each provider is charged the same by the studios?

I assumed they would with VOD just as they would with a physical product, e.g. blu-ray, dvd, etc. I don't even know for certain if physical products are priced the same to each retailer, just assumed so as you're seeing a lot more aggressive price matching these days, with Amazon, Best Buy and others constantly lowering prices to match their competitors. Also, seems like all Disney/Touchstone/Hollywood movies are the same prices on both Vudu and iTunes - 9.99 for SD and 17.99 for HD, and they both had the Christmas deals at the same time on the same movies (though Vudu's prices were a dollar or two more). Not sure which threads are comparing Vudu pricing to Netflix, but that's apples to oranges in my mind.

I agree with you on your apples and oranges. I was going to make that point somewhere else here, but it was too much typing! I still say that the greatest effect consumers can have on prices is to buy when they think the price is right, and not buy when they think the price is too high. Companies don't need input from customers stating their opinion on prices. Companies get to look at sales charts. That's the real answer. They know what sells and what doesn't. If the price is really higher than anyone will pay, the company will find out soon enough.

I would really like a Rocky bundle as well. I haven't owned the Rocky collection outside of the last film since it was on VHS. But I would definitley purchase them all in a bundle if the price was good. I recently purchased the Rambo bundle. Rocky would compliment it nice!

We need a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Bundle or a decently priced Veronica Mars Bundle.

Heck yeah! I've had the Buffy complete DVD set on my wishlist for a while, but I'd be happy to buy it for less on Vudu. And my daughter's almost old enough for Veronica Mars, but my wife and I watched every episode of that when it aired, so we'd probably watch it ourselves first.

I wonder if we'll finally get a Rocky Bundle & Save within the next two weeks to tie in with the release of Creed.

I was wondering if there would be a sale. Unfortunately, I have 2 of them already
