So you think I should buy the DvD or blu ray instead of requesting the movie be added?

truthfully if you buy a used bluray for 5 or 6 dollars and spend the 2 dollars for the conversion to hdx it saves you off of the price of buying it for 13.99 which if it comes back to window it will cost

You're wrong about D2D saving you money.
If you can only find a DVD then to get HDX you pay 5 Buks.

                  5$ (movie) +5$(HDX D2D from DVD) +4$(S/H) = 14$

You offered D2D as a solution, but did you take in account if my PC has a blu-ray or DVD-Rom to use D2D?
Did you assume I'm close to a Walmart or that my local Wal-marts even offer D2D? Most the stores in my area stopped doing D2D. So, ording the DVD online, then having to drive over an hour to get to a Walmart which offers D2D is saving me money?

It's just easier to have it added digitally.

So, if some some requests a movie added, then just be supportive, don't assume to know whats best.

Every single Walmart does D2D. Some employess will claim that their store doesn't do it. This is FALSE. EVERY STORE DOES IT. The employees who make this claim are ignorant and not trained in the process. You have to call 1-800-Walmart any time an employee tells you that their store doesn't do it. 1-800-Walmart takes it seriously and makes sure that the employees are properly trained.

And I agree, D2D is a far better option than buying it outright. The Elm Street movies cost 13.99 so we can only assume Freddy's Dead would also be at that price point. Amazon is selling the DVD for 5.00 (and you might due even better at a local goodwill or flea market). Your local walmart or the at home D2D program will only cost 5 bucks so assuming you bought the disc brand new from Amazon, you save about 4.00. You save even more if you find the dvd cheaper elsewhere.

                      Wow.

Nobody here was suggesting you do D2D for the title IN PLACE OF the movie just being added digitally. Everybody in this thread was trying to be helpful by giving you another option for obtaining it that you might not have known about. Snapping at them for that is just rude as hell...

Who is everybody? I was talking to one person the whole time? I see your point, but in the same respect you do not see mine. Saying it's on D2D when i requested the movie added was rude and does not support the movie being added. But I guess it depends on your view point. You are right that I was rude, but from my point of view he was rude.

We could debate who was rude all day, but it will boil down to point of view.

I believe D2D is better only if you own the movie already or you can find it for a better price which saves you money, but it's not saving you money in every instance. You left out shipping and handling for the Amazon example. Which is 3.99. 5+5+4= 14 dollars. Savings = nothing.

Maybe you're right that all Walmarts do D2D and they just lied, all of them. But it really does not seem worth all the trouble to not save money and spend this much time and gas, Walmart is 30 mins away, to just to do D2D.

If it saves you money great, but I'd rather have it added to buy digitally. Plus i don't want the physical disks. So to me, saying it's on D2D was more rude than helpful. Sorry I was a butt to you. Big hug.

Well, I am the guy you say was rude to you for suggesting an alternative. If Vudu adds the title yes thats a better choice. Simpler anyways. But based on the length of time that sometimes takes i was just trying to show you a better choice, i do not think that is rude.

That makes sense. Well, that's the way of the world, many people don't think what they say or do is rude. Even when I pointed out my point of view you still can't see it. No worries. But if you went in knowing; i didn't want the physical disk, didn't want to drive to mess with Walmart issues, and had no issue waiting for it to be added, and knew it was on D2D, then would you still had suggested D2D? And if you knew all that then suggested it, then wouldn't that be rude?

Like I said, point of view. You can't know my reasoning for asking for it digitally other than I want it added digitally. To assume anything past that point you have a 50% chance of coming off rude, or unintentionally calling someone stupid.

I also view it as, if a movie request does not get a lot of support and just 1 response saying its on D2D, do you think they will waste time adding it at all? IDK but just a thought.

I enjoyed our back and forth. Thanks.
