    The Shield

I guess I'm a little late to the show. When did The Shield get removed from Vudu?

I sure am dense. I thought everyone was talking about Brooke Shields (the preferred condom for Trout).

If you want to see Brooke Shields these days you have to watch Lipstick Jungle. It's a trashy chick show but if you like watching TV shows with gorgeous women, it's worth a look!

Back to the TV show, "The Shield" - we are checking into this...

We got to meet and talk to Brooke a few years ago. She was staying at the same hotel as us in Palm Springs. She was eight months pregnant. And at the pool it wasn't a pretty site (although some people do find pregnant women beautiful).

Unfortunately, our license for The Shield has expired for the time being. Hopefully, we'll be able to offer the series in the future.

What is this about licenses expiring? Will this be a frequent thing? I mean the whole point of this kind of setup is that its there when you want to watch it and you never know when that might come up. Does vudu chose to let certain title licenses expire based on lack of viewing on its system? I hope not because i'm sure a lot of stuff has low viewage, i feel like we're here to pay for the chance to view a bunch of stuff some day that we for the time being will not be viewing. Hopefully that makes sense.

And btw, the shield is my favorite show ever!

I don't think the Vudu company ever chooses to have a license expire. Keep in mind that this is relatively rare, and it is always studio driven. Typically they'll pull a title for a couple months to give a premium cable channel "exclusive" rights, then it comes back to Vudu when the window is over. With the catalog expanded to almost 13,000 titles now, I hardly notice when a movie is "out of license", as I have too many good titles to choose from at any one moment in time.

Interesting but still a negative. Hopefully studios will realize the silliness of this in due time.
