So, it's been established that Vudu, and other providers of purchased streaming content (iTunes, etc.) can only provide us with the content that studios provide them. I recently purchased Seasons 1-6 of Bob's Burgers because Netflix pulled it from their streaming service (apparently FOX and Netflix couldn't be adults and work things out). No harm, no foul, I'll just purchase them. However, I was flabbergasted when I found that FOX has ads at the beginning and end of each episode of seasons 4-6 of Bob's Burgers on seasons I purchased.
After some research, I've established iTunes has the same issues with the same seasons, so it's not Vudu's fault. I believe Vudu is advocating on our behalf with FOX, but they can only do so much. Therefore, I found a way to contact FOX about this issue. I went here: https://ask.fox.com/hc/en-us/request..._form_id=56280 and on the drop down menu, I selected "Content". In the subject field I typed "Past Episodes Purchased But Still Have Ads". I then typed the following message:
Hello,
I purchased seasons 1-6 of Bob's Burgers through Vudu. I was extremely upset when I found that FOX has ads at the beginning and end of each episode of seasons 4-6 of a television show I PURCHASED legally. I understand the need to air ads on seasons that are currently airing on cable. However, these are past seasons. Please update your past seasons of television shows to be ad free and distribute them to vendors (iTunes, Vudu, etc.).
While I do not support pirating, I certainly understand the viewpoint of those who do. It is incredibly frustrating and unfair for your customers to purchase your content and still be subjected to advertisements. Please treat us well, as we are ultimately the ones that support the continued success of the FOX broadcasting corporation.
I appreciate your assistance with this matter.
Thank you,

I encourage those who purchase past seasons of FOX shows and who are sick of the ads on past seasons to do the same. Contact FOX and express your upset. It's only by doing this that we can change things. If we don't speak up, FOX will continue to be ridiculous with their ads.
