I've run into two titles with the problem, Splinter and some Scooby Doo movie.
With Splinter they responded that they turned in a bug report and the title would be re-encoded and re-introduced in a week or so.

This can be caused by a two different things:

      1. Your a/v receiver could be out of sync with the VUDU, in which case you can adjust the audio back-and-forth to compensate. You can access this feature by going in the audio settings.

      2. The audio of the film may be encoded incorrectly. What was the title of the movie?

I never heard of audio/video being out of sync by seven seconds before. Is that even possible?

With my issue it was an encoding problem. Seven seconds is an extremely long time.

I've had sync problems in the past with various digital devices, but the most I had ever seen was around second maybe 1.5 seconds.

While chances are that it is an encoding issue (as 5-7 seconds is a very long time) I did not want to leave out the possibility that it could be an issue with the vudu and receiver communicating with one another, especially if jim230 mistimed the delay.

Do you know the title of the movie that you were experiencing this issue with?

no, 7 seconds can't be fixed with the receiver. most receivers have a delay adjustment that goes up to somewhere around 200-400ms. even if the vudu, tv, & receiver were all set to the max delays, you probably couldn't even get to 1 second.

I had this issue last night with "The Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie". You can hear the sound for alomost a full 20ish seconds before the video starts and it remains that way throughout the movie.

                  stshields,

I apologize for the video delay. I'd like to research that movie further.

Is this on a VUDU box or a VUDU enabled device?

                  What is the device ID?
