    5.1 audio on PC

Is it supposed to work or not? I'm trying HDX titles with Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks such as Spiderman and Kill Bill etc. I've tried it on both the web player and VUDU 2 Go app and I am only getting 2 channel audio. I saw an old thread where Jake stated flash doesn't support 5.1 audio but I am getting conflicting reports on current 5.1 audio. I opened a support case with Vudu and they claimed 5.1 audio is supposed to work on the PC. I have a Windows 8 PC and am able to get 5.1 audio via everything else (Windows Media player, Netflix Windows 8 app etc.). The PC is connected via HDMI to my Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver.

What exact titles are you referring to so I can look for myself.

Spiderman and Kill Bill are the two that I mentioned in my previous post. I am happy to test other titles too. It would be great if you can let me know if you are able to get true Dolby 5.1 (not Dolby Prologic) for these on the PC.

Currently the PC uses 2 channel AAC audio (likely Prologic encoded, but not DD5.1). The Flash player for PCs does not support AAC 5.1 (and not Dolby Digital at all).

          Thanks Jake. That makes sense.
