    Star Trek The Motion Picture

I watched the HDX version tonight. Looks like it was created from a film copy, with lots of scratches and artifacts.

I've been watching the rest of the original movies, and I must say the quality of the HDX encode is crap on every one. I'm up to #5 and they've all been just awful! Some portions are not even up to VHS quality.

I started on the next generation movies tonight with Generations. The quality is much better. Seems only the originals are crappy.

I only remeber the first 6 as being crappy...the old VHS recorded off TV, anything is better than that. I haven't actually popped one in on DVD to watch, so I can't compare that, pushing the remote buttons is just too easy.
