Sorry the Video Player has stopped working please try again

I have an LGWeb0STV and I cannot get Vudu to work properly. Some days it works just fine but other days I'm watching and about 10 minutes later I'm getting a message that the video player has stopped working. I have my setting on HDX as all but 1 movie I have is not HDX. I have unplugged the router and/or the monitor waited a few minutes and that has not worked. I have set my Smart TV back to its initial settings and that has not worked. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Vudu more than 10 times and that has not worked. I called the Vudu Service Department and they were of no help. I was on the phone for over and hour and finally had to hang up to take care of family. Also I have checked my Internet Connections. I am so fed up with Vudu. I have given Vudu lots of money with buying TV Shows and Movies so I don't have to use a DVD, I can just sit down and relax, that was my plan that is. Does anyone have any ideas how to help me? I've tried customer service over at Vudu but they were of no help as my problem comes and goes. The last time I was able to watch Vudu with no problems for a week. Now it's back to causing troubles and I don't know what to do. Nothing I have done has made a permanent solution to my problem. If it wasn't for all this money I've spent I'd just delete Vudu permanently off my Smart TV as I'm extremely frustrated that I can't watch shows and movies I've paid for without getting the "Sorry the Video Player has stopped working please try again".

Been having the same issue with my Roku Ultra v2 the last two weeks (or so). This hasn't been an issue for Vudu for quite some time.

All other non-Vudu services are working fine without similar issue.

This sounds like a known firmware issue with some LG 2018 TVs that we are trying to get LG to fix.

As for Roku Ultra - that message quoted in the original post is isn't in the Roku app, so you must be seeing something different. PM me your Vudu info (acct email and affected deviceId) and I'll have someone look at it.

Thank you Jake for having LG fix it. I hope it doesn't take too long. Right now I never know from one day to the next if Vudu will work for me or not and I'm tired of requesting service help that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Sorry the video player has stopped working, please try again. This error message is clearly telling you that the Video player app that comes with your TV is crashing. Your TV manufacturer should provide support for that.. It is the same when an app crashes on your phone, you would have to contact the developer, but being a Smart TV, if it comes with warranty, it should be covered by the manufacturer.

Don’t think this is a player issue. This seems to be an issue with certain content. I watch a ton of stuff on Vudu, and most works just fine. But Truman Show SD version gives this error all the time. I think there is something broken with some of their files and VUDU is not checking error codes people see, or even these forums to go fix it.
