Vizio TV no longer gives UHD option.

I have a Vizio 70 inch 4k 2018 tv. We have watched 100+ movies in 4k up to this point on vudu. Bought endgame today through the phone app in 4k. On the tv app it shows "you own this in UHD". However, the app will not play the movie in UHD. I checked the settings and it will no longer let me set UHD as default and no movies will play in 4k. Any advice?

Can you please provide me with the following information to help us determine what might be the issue, thanks.

    - TV model
    - TV firmware/software version
    - Vudu version and widget version installed (within the Vudu app settings)

This is a common problem that VUDU seems to not know how to fix as I already went back in forth with them over the course of a week with no solution. If you search for this, you'll find similar instances lasting months!

The only thing that worked for me the first time was unplugging my tv to reset it. I can't remember if I also did a factory reset at that point. It finally worked. But it was a PITA since I then had to re-login to every single account on the television. And VUDU is the only service that seemingly makes you use your username and password on the TV instead of giving you a weblink and a code.

The other thing that now seems to work for me - is casting the movie from my iPhone (It will cast in UHD) to the TV. If I had to guess, this is a problem with 1) How Vizio updates the VUDU app 2) corrupted memory in the television or 3) how something is stored at VUDU when the app gets updated for the Vizio interface. But apparently no one at VUDU is going to Vizio to tell them how upset their customers are about all of this. So, I may just start using a different streaming app altogether.

I am also having the same problem on my 2019 Vizio TV. it was working fine until 6 or 7 days ago.
i've purchased and watched several UHD movies direct from the app on this particular TV and now none of them will show available UHD, just HDX and SD

        TV Model: Vizio V605-G3
        TV Firmware/software version: 2.17.9
        Vudu Player Version: 297594.40
        Vudu Widget version: (7.1.14 (14-824a6e71))

i also tried soft reboot and factory reset and neither of those worked.

        any help would be appreciated

              Any solution for this yet?
I'm I'm having the same issue with my new Vizio e70 f3 it works fine on bothbot 2019 and my 2017 Vizio m series.

Cannot cast within the television app in Dolby vision only hdr10 but if I cast from my Android phone app it works.

It's a work around for now but missing all of the features of the Vizio app for playback.

I have tried all of the possible solutions listed in this thread and others

I have a brand new Vizio 4K tv and Vudu doesn?t give a option higher then hdx. I was excited too because the remote even has a Vudu button.

I have a Vizio D50-F1 Version 2.30.16 and I cannot view my Vudu movies in UHD. It does not show up as an option. Is there anyway to fix this problem? Thank you.

Vizio has released a fix for their D-series TVs where the UHD option was disabled on our app. Please update your TV's accordingly to resolve this issue.
