Media will not stream and downloads very slowly.

    Media will not stream and downloads very slowly.

    I bought a few TV show episodes in HDX format for VUDU on my PS3. First I just want to add that my internet connection is 12mb/sec, and that my PS3 is connected with and ethernet cable. Okay so as expected my speedtest results on VUDU were maxed out and the first episode played in HDX fine. So I bought a few more episodes. Not sure exactly which one (not the point anyway) but the last few episodes I watched would not stream, so I did a speed test, the results where "test could not be complete due to network error". There's no problem with my network. Do they mean their network? Because it does say "try again in a alittle while" or something like that. So because they won't stream I'm downloading them, but its taking hours, like a full day. Each episode can't be more than 2 or three 3 Gigs. So why so slow? Netflixs streams HDX instantly. Rented VUDU movies stream HDX instantly. Why do owned medias have this problem? Why is it only specific episodes? If this is a temporary network problem than fine, fix it. But if this is just the way VUDU is than I don't want to own their content ( since it is so difficult to access.) Also I want to know if downloading owned media on VUDU continues to download if I want to use my ps3 for anything else? Like if I want to to play a game or something while this extremely long download takes place, or do I just have to stay in VUDU basically making it so I can't use my PS3 for anything else while a download is taking place?

    Would you mind sending me a private message with your email address included? I'd like to take a look at your streaming sessions so we can determine the bandwidth you were pulling at the time of the buffering event.

    At this point movies will not download in the background on the PS3. You will need to keep the application open in order to complete the download.
