Which boxes download some/all of the movie?

Do any of the various boxes that support Vudu download some or all of the movie to eliminate buffering? I have an old Vudu box with a hard drive and I am thinking about dragging it out and installing it again. I am getting tired of buffering due to network traffic. Do any other boxes at least download part of the movie to give itself time to get past a network hiccup?

the PS3 is probably the best option for this. WD used to make a Live Hub with a builtin HDD that supported VUDU downloads, but I'm not sure if it's still available. Note with these solutions you do need to wait for the download to complete before watching (and you still need a network connection while playing) but it will download the highest quality stream.

You can get refurb PS3's pretty cheap these days: http://www.frys.com/product/8142055?...FdCCfgodpBIABw

I have the WD TV Live Hub, and while it does download HD, it needs a high-speed connection or you keep getting error messages every 15 minutes. It's pretty frustrating. The PS3 is not really portable.

We really need a better download option for Vudu HD content. I hope you have something in the lab for us Jake!
