Ps4 app loads but can't select movies

The app seems to load fine on the ps4 but it won't let me select any movies to watch. The cursor moves from movie to movie but when I press "x" to select a movie nothing happens. I have tried deleting and re-installing as well as full system reboot. Everything else on the ps4 works just fine. Anyone else ever have these issues? Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem, app worked just fine until about a week ago. Now it is extremely slow, pages take forever to load (if at all) and I can't access my library or select or play anything. I hope someone can help!

Can you tell me what version of the Software you are running on your PS4. Also are you using the Game Controller or the BT remote?

Have you tried to disconnect the controller from the bluetooth device menu and have it repaired to see if this addresses your issue?

I am currently running PS4 Software 3.55 using a Game Controller and do not have any issues with the X button

Did some searches on the PlayStation 4 forums and seems the X button not working in specific apps is a PS4 bug. On the PS4 forums users suggest resetting your game controller by pressing the reset button on the back of the controller.

The back of the controller there is a small pin size hole that you can press to reset the game controller. This seems to solve the issue for most users.

In the mean time I will escalate this to Sony on my end to see if they can release a fix.

We are trying to gather more info to help debug - could you answer a few more questions?

- to confirm: this is with the official PS4 controller, not 3rd party BT remote or controller?
- does this happen on any controller (i.e. if you have 2, try both)
- can you "force quit" the VUDU app (not just resume from background) - when in the PS4 system menu, use the "option" button, then close application, and then relaunch it. Does this help?

[edit: a few more things...]

- also, can you check to see if the square button works as select instead?
- and could you check the default button mapping for your controller to make sure it didn't get changed somehow? See this article for explanation: http://www.howtogeek.com/245977/how-...4s-controller/
