    Playstation 5 - Playback Issues

    Connection: Wired with Cat8 [Playstation 5 Download speed test shows 106.0 Mbps]
    Playstation 5 Version: 20.02-2.26.00.00-00.00.00.01 [Latest]
    Vudu App Version: 1.000.000 [Latest]

    When starting a HDX movie or tv show, it will stream perfectly for about 8-10 minutes. It will then pause and attempt to load, at which point it times out and says my internet connection is having trouble streaming HDX, and I have the option to Continue in HDX or Switch to SD. No matter which option I choose, it does not work. However, closing Vudu and re-opening makes the movie or tv show work great, but once again for only about 8-10 minutes.

    No other Playstation 5 streaming app [Disney+, Netflix, Hulu] gives me issues.

    Vudu works on my other devices using Wifi just fine, so its definitely not a network error on my side, as the Playstation 5 has the best connection in the home.

      It happened to me multiple times over the weekend on anything I tried to watch.

      Movie: Planes, Trains and Automobiles [this was the most interrupted]
      TV: Parks and Recreation S1, Eps 2-4

            Greetings FelipeF and Jake, I ran a test this morning on my Playstation 5 and watched a full episode of Parks and Recreation without any interruptions, so I think the issue may be resolved now. I'll reply back to this topic if I experience the same issue again. Thanks for your help.

                  Greetings FelipeF and Jake, the Playstation 5 software was updated this morning, and the Vudu issue is still sadly continuing. I ran a test this morning on the movie Elf, and I encountered the loading issue between the 8-9 minute mark. I sent FelipeF a private message with my email address if you could please review the logs. As I mentioned earlier, this is the only device I'm experiencing Vudu issues on. Thanks.

                    Out of curiosity, I started playing a movie in the background on the PS5. I'm currently 12 minutes in with no issues. Hope this gets resolved for you. If I encounter any issues, I'll be sure to help out with any analysis from my side as well for a larger sample size.

                      Thank you for helping. The issue is still occurring for me, unfortunately, mainly on movies now instead of TV shows. It's just really odd since all of my other PS5 streaming apps are working just fine, and Vudu works fine on my other devices wirelessly. Hopefully I can get this figured out!

                        I’m having playback issues on the ps5 as well. Mine says the video player has stopped working. Worked fine for 2 weeks and now I can’t get anything to play at all

                          I am having the same issues as FelipeF had but I'm trying to watch in uhd also. Please help its been 2 days of this and its only my ps5 not any other devices
