    Toshiba 40UXX600U Widgets Problem

    I purchased a Toshiba 40UXX600U 40" led tv last month and have a problem to access the Vudu widget, my TV gives me this message:

    Connection Failed
    Please contact VUDU support at http://support.vudu.com

    Detail Code 1:200

    Device ID B244A

    Hardware ID TSBTTS01e89d873d660e

    Horabar,

    It seems that you are trying to connect outside the US. VUDU is currently only offered in the states.

      I have the following problem with my Toshiba 46UX600U :
      I am outside US and I am receiving the same error each time I am trying to connect, but also I am unable to open other widgets. Every time I press widgets VUDU appears. I tried to deactivate but it is impossible to do it. Whaqt I am doing wrong. Any help will be highly appreciated!

        Does Vudu also handle the NetTV widget engine? If so then would the widgets also be disabled from canada?

        i also have a toshiba and when I launch the widget menu to launch VUDU which i know is not supported in canada

          I purchased this TV from the shopping channel in Toronto. Internet connectivity works, DLNA and the media player work but Netflix does not work and should, widgets i learned are provided by VUDU so neither work because i am in Canada.

          I called netflix and they said I need a firmware update but i have the latest firmware.

          I tried to support calls to the Canadian Toshiba support number and cam to understand from the 2nd tech support rep. that I was apparently shipped a TV with a US serial number. I tried to register from the Toshiba Canada registration page.

          I also complained to Toshiba customer support and explained the situation and they agreed but gave no support, told me that I should have purchased directly from Toshiba as this would not have happened and dismissed me from the call and said they could not provide warranty.

          So I call the shopping channel and they have launched an investigation with Toshiba for the shipping, warranty and netflix issue and await a response.

          Toshiba need to do much better. I am glad I have TSC to help me resolve this. If its not resolved I will return the TV.

          Any help from Toshiba support or customer service that are willing to go the extra mile would be appreciated.
