    Buffering - please respond

I have sent an email to support, but lack confidence in a reply based on what I'm reading in some of these forum posts.

My movie night was ruined when we tried to watch Tree of Life in HDX tonight.

Despite a robust internet connection that always tests >20mbps, always pegs the VUDU test meter, a hardwired gigabit ethernet connection to my PS3, and previous spotless successes with stream HDX movies, we had to walk away from the movie or downgrade the quality due to buffering problems.

I don't know where the problem lies, but VUDU needs to fix it ASAP or I will no longer be going to them for movies. Hit-or-miss is not adequate.
I am not interested in another mediocre fidelity streaming service, and am only interested in reliable true HD service. If VUDU can't do it I will stick with BluRay rentals and purchases.

I also need a refund immediately, unfortunately VUDU has no method that I am aware of for reporting problems with specific purchases.

I also encountered several loud pops as described in some of other posts.

Please figure out what is going on and fix it VUDU. Up until tonight's failed movie, I have been VERY happy with VUDU.

Hayes- I apologize for the buffering issues that you encountered last night. If you PM me your email address, I'll be happy to place a refund on your account and take a look at your streaming sessions.

We would like to get to the bottom of this issue for you. If you do not receive a response from customer care, please let me know.

Same problem using a dsl connection when I try to watch "Up Periscope" no issues with other video sites. Vudu constantly buffers every two minutes.

        Southern,

Can you give us some information about your home network? Also, I will need your device ID, it should be located under info and settings in the VUDU app.

          dhatman,

The device is an LG Blu Ray Model BD630.

          0x967CB4 is the ID

The movie I tried watching was on my pc though, not on the Blu Ray.

It's an AT&T DSL 3.0 connection through a 2Wire Modem/Router combo. I'm not too computer savy so I'm not sure what else you will need. I do know that I have no problems with Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc.

I don't see any streaming sessions for that movie on your LG. I did see that you were able to watch it for 51 mins, using your internet browser. Your bandwidth seems to be consistently at 1.4MBPS, which should be good enough for SD playback.

If you wouldn't mind, give us a call at (888)554-8838. We may be able to make some adjustments to your home network that may stabilize your connection to the VUDU servers.

Vudu seems to be having a lot of problems lately because I'm having network issues playing Vudu titles as well.
