why wont my blue ray device work?

I have a Sony blue Ray that has netflix and all kinds of stuff on it.
BUT, I cant find anything in the menu for VUDU even though my device is supposed to support it according to the VUDU site.
    BDP8X57 is my model number.

The X58 is listed as having the Vudu app. The X57 never shipped with it. There have been people asking Sony if they would ever update the firmware on the player to support Vudu. Hasn't happened yet, and likely won't. Once they replace the player, most manufacturer's stop updating the firmware, and you have to buy a new player if you want new "features".

Look again. The VUDU site does not say your BX57 is supported. No 2010 Sony Blu-ray player supported VUDU. Sony players got VUDU in 2011.

Completely agree, per my previous post, even the "set-up" though isn't updated. The BX57 DID NOT have Vudu but there are MANY, MANY models that do have Vudu that are not listed. In Sony for example it stops at BDP-S780. The BDP-S790 which has been shipping for a long while also has Vudu. As do the S1100, S3100, S5100. All NOT on the list.

I don't know if Vudu maintain's the list's anymore. Even years ago the maintenance was still very spotty.
