Process for requesting a refund? Case # 131129-001098

5 minutes into watching the Internship last night, the movie cut out and would no longer play. Rebooting my vudu device did not help I received an error message indicating the device could not connect to the Vudu network.

Created the above referenced log number and attached a photo of the tv with all error messages and codes. Since I was able to then switch over to Amazon streaming movies and watch the Internship there without issue, I requested a refund.

Received an update from Vudu to my support request later in the evening indicating they were aware of the problem and engineers were working to restore service. Though I could not reconnect the vudu device last night, I just power cycled it this morning and it connected fine to the vudu network so clearly there was some issue last night.

In the response to my support request, the request for refund was ignored in the response. The charge for the movie is already showing on my visa account, but not a refund.

What is the process for refund? Do I really need to dispute the charge?

That's strange? It's been a long time now but Vudu used to give refunds or at least credits when you had a problem with viewing a movie. Maybe there policy has changed where the customer service is not as good as it used to be?

It looks like you have already been refunded for the purchase. In some cases it can take up to five business days to show on your payment method. For anyone else that comes across this post, please speak with our support team before you dispute the charges with your bank.

I had the problem with internship also. Could not watch the last part of movie. Did not know they would refund or help with issues. Will go home and do some looking on router settings and reboot my machine.
