Just like with other releases of updates in any technology realm, I would think Vudu app updates will be rolling across the LG TV's accordingly. Like I mentioned, I updated our Vudu app two days ago and it works flawlessly now. 4K and HD content.

Is anyone else still having issues besides me? Last night the Vudu app on my LG OLED E6 refused to load any movie. I could select a title but when it would pull the movie screen up, it would show a black box where the movie poster art should be, and would not give an option to play the movie. Issues like these have been goin on for almost 2 months. It?s getting ridiculous that I can?t watch movies. Last month, when customer service finally responded to my ticket, they wanted me to run a bunch of network scans and send them results. I was out of town on business and unable to do so, and by the time i got back home they had closed the ticket. I also own a Roku 4 and it won?t even load the Vudu app anymore. If anyone has a fix or might be able to suggest a better streaming platform, I?m all ears.

As of a few days ago I?ve had no more issues. Now I don?t get to watch a lot of TV so the one day I tried it it worked fine again. Also, I?ve never had issues with any other device such as my iPhone, PS3, or Vizio TV. I?ll update this after I try to watch a few more titles .

My LG E7 worked just fine until I updated it the other day. Now I can't get any movie to play on Vudu whereas Amazon & netflix work perfectly fine. Please fix this.

            Hello Skitch23,
We are working with LG to address this and debug why its happening. In the mean time can you do a hard power cycle (remove the power cable) until the red LED on the front of the TV is not longer on. Once the RED LED is off plug the TV back in. Let me know if this addresses your issue.

If it does not played provide more info on what problems you are actually seeing.

            Thanks
            Tam

Been having the same issue with my LG OLED E6 -- VUDU starts, but if I click on an owned movie, it just shows a rectangle where the box cover should be, and the rest of the screen is black. If I do this enough -- maybe 10 times, it'll show the movie. I managed to start "Spiderman" in UHD this way earlier today, but had to suspend it and now it won't restart -- when I click Resume, it just goes back to the menu page. When Spiderman was streaming, it glitched every few seconds, which was annoying. I also have a Roku 4K Premier box attached for HBO Go (why oh why doesn't LG support this?) and that played VuDu fine but it doesn't support Dolby Vision and playback wasn't as smooth as the LG App (when it worked -- and ignoring the glitching every few seconds).

I've had trouble with VUDU since before Christmas. I agree it could be the LG firmeware update but YouTube and Netflix work just fine.

I have a wired gigabit connection to the TV so it's not a WiFi issue, and my connection speed is 200 mpbs down, 10 up.

Is there a way to kill running apps on the TV? With my other TV (a Sony), leaning on the power button on the remote for a few seconds reboots the TV and reloads all of the applications. Is there a way to to this with the OLED E6? The only thing I can find is a factory reset option.

An update--after unplugging the TV for about a minute, I relaunched VUDU and I was able to finish watching UHD "Spiderman Homecoming". When I first click "Resume", I got the black page with just a white rectangle where the box cover should be. After a minute or two, the box cover and title information appeared. I then quickly clicked "resume" and was able to watch the movie and the glitch/little jump that appeared every few seconds was gone.

Me thinks VUDU needs an update on this TV. I checked to see if one was available, but noooooo....

Thank you Tami, a hard reset seemed to work. I'll re-post if I have any issues again. Glad I can finally watch my movies now!

I tried the hard reset again and I still can?t get anything to load. I tried deactivating the tv from my account and uninstalling the app, then doing a reinstall. Still nothing works. I?m going to buy an Apple TV 4K tomorrow and just leave Vudu behind. 2 months of not being able to consistently stream content is ridiculous.

Update- I tried watching a movie this morning and am having the same problem again. I even had problems just loading the images of all the titles in my library and when I selected a movie it wouldn?t play.

I just updated the app on my LG 55C6P and now the audio is all messed up when sending it out to my receiver. It cuts out repeatedly both over optical cable and HDMI ARC into my receiver. If I set the audio to PCM out, it's fine and if i set the audio to play internally to the LG, it's fine. Bitstreaming the audio from my tv to receiver with the latest update is useless with the constant audio dropouts.

I've been having the same problem for weeks now. The VUDU app on my LG OLED TV refuses to load my collection properly, and even when it does load some of them I still can't play them because the app never loads the details for the selected movie. I'm also getting the message saying no movies were found, try again later. There must be some kind of connection issue with the database. I had a similar issue on a Samsung TV and there was a network hostname that was causing a slow lookup to the server.

This VUDU app always worked great until the last update. How about reverting whatever was changed? We didn't have issues before the change. I can't watch any of my movies at this point.

                              Folks,

We would like to get to the bottom of this issue but we need some help from you guys. If you guys can PM (private message) me with the following details, it would be greatly appreciated. DO NOT POST THIS INFO ON THIS THREAD. This will help our engineers get a better sense on what's going on.

                              -email address with Vudu
-makes and model(s) of device(s) that you're experiencing a decrease in performance on
-device ID(s) of said devices (settings > system info from within the Vudu app)
                              -your ISP
-your public IP (you can use this link to get your public IP https://www.whatismyip.com/ )

I was on the phone with a Vudu rep the other day and after messing around with the app on the TV I noticed the app was acting up if I had paused a movie. I also found a temporary fix. The longer you leave the app open, the more stable it becomes. Also, if you change which app is open on the TV and then go back to Vudu this usually fixes the problem (any problem).
