    Dolby Vision Logo doesn't appear

    Hey All

Pardon me of this has been answered. But I can't seem to find any info on this: I have a Vizio 2017 M50-E1 Dolby Vison & HDR10 compatible. Connected to Yamaha Aventage RX-A770 Dolby Vision & HDR10 (Firmware is updated on both as of 12/20/17)

The system info from the Vizio tv tells me im viewing dolby vision and/or HDR10 but the Dolby Vision Logo doesnt light up in the vudu app. Im viewing VUDU from the built-in Vizio app. Strange thing is that when viewing something that has HDR10 the *HDR logo shows up. Im assuming this is a Vizio firmware issue?

I've also read on this forum that Movies Like "IT" and DUNKIRK in UHD 4K which are available in both Dolby Vision & HDR10 the Vizio defaults to the HDR10 format and which is supposedly a Vizio issue as well. Will there ever be a user option available in Vudu to choose? or is that a Vizio issue as well.

Again, to restate. Im getting both HDR formats and it does state on my Vizio sysyem info that I am getting the HDR10 or Dolby Vision. It just doesn't pop up on in the VUDU info like I've seen on other peoples TV'S

Obviously First World problems but would like to know anyway... Hope this made sense to someone out there...

screenshot below on someone else tv. notice the Dolby Logo next to the VISION IN top right corner. My tv does not show this

If the TV says Dolby Vision is playing that would be the most accurate indication. It's possible that the logo not showing up in the player is a bug in our app, we will look into it.

As for Dolby Vision with newer titles - I believe it will be fixed with Vizio's next TV firmware update, but I don't know exactly when that will be. Once that's out, it will automatically chose the best format available for your TV.

Hello looks like we have a similar setup. I have a Vizio m55-e0 connected to a yamaha rx a660. Question maybe you can answer help with. How do I get the word Dolby Atmos on the face of the receiver instead of the dot icons of the speakers which I get now? Thanks

          Hey There,

What are you actually seeing? Can you maybe upload a pic? But my first answer would be to make sure its actallu dolby atmos soundtrack. If its via VUDU streaming. you have to turn off any DSP mode you might have on. Maybe press the straight button on the remote should remove any DSP setting then press the info button on the remote to show audio deocder. it should say something like ATMOS/DIGITAL+ Atmos via VUDU gets packaged within a dolby digital+ stream. Hope that makes sense. Good luck!
