Vudu unable to play UHD movies on Firestick

Hello. I have a new 4K Firestick with Vudu installed. Starting last night it will not play anything in UHD. I get an error message that says "Encountered problems during playback. Please try again." It will play HDX movies with no problem.

Here is what I have tried so far to resolve the problem:

Unplugged Firestick for more than 10 seconds and plugged it back in.
Unplugged modem/router for more than 10 seconds and plugged it back in.
Switched my Firestick to a different network connection (my router is dual band).
Force stopped Vudu and cleared the cache.
    Uninstalled and reinstalled Vudu.

The network signal strength for my Firestick says "Very Good." The router is in the next room about 12' away from the Firestick.

I got this particular Firestick about a week ago and have had no previous problems with it. UHD movies played fine on Vudu up through yesterday afternoon. When I tried to play one late last night is when the problem began. I made no changes to any settings prior to the start of the problem. Note that UHD content plays just fine through Netflix on this Firestick. Also note that UHD movies will play just fine on Vudu on my Xbox One X. I realize I could just watch through the Xbox, but I prefer the Firestick because it's the only way for me to get Dolby Vision on my TV.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Sorry, Vudu is not currently supported on the Fire TV (I assume you side-loaded it?)

On the other hand, the latest Xbox One app added Dolby Vision support last week, give it a try!

I'm aware that it's not actually supported but I still hoped someone might know something else to try. And yes I did side-load it.

As far as the Xbox One X and Dolby Vision, my TV is too old to work with the low latency version of Dolby Vision that the Xbox consoles use so I can only get HDR10 if I go that route. It's a Vizio P65-C1 manufactured in 2015. I would need a model made in 2018 or later to be compatible with Dolby Vision through the Xbox.

      Thanks though.

What is the XBox One app? Can you install that on a Fire TV?

        819 HDX

Is that meant to be sarcasm?

No, you made it sound like you can install an Xbox app on the Fire TV so that is what I was asking.

I'm serious, he said Xbox One app making it sound like there was an app for the Xbox. Maybe he should have said "the Xbox added Dolby Vision support" instead of including the word "app"? Or maybe "the latest Vudu app on the XBox added Dolby Vision support"?

I think you're the only one who thought this... serious!

Well this is disappointing. I came back and saw there a bunch of new comments on this thread and for a second I thought someone had tried to help me out.
