Top Gun 4K Insufficient network speed error

    Hi Everyone

Having a rare issue on VUDU while playing Top Gun UHD in my TCL 625 series (Roku TV). Movie starts without issues, then suddenly after a couple minutes, VUDU begins to show the loading logo and asks to continue on UHD or change to HDX or SD (Insufficient network speed error). It's the only movie having this issue, all other UHD titles work perfectly. The movie was bought physically on Amazon, and the code redeemed without problems on UHD. Also, I have two other 4K TV's and the Top Gun plays fine in UHD (Hisense H7 & LG C6 Oled)

I have a 1Gbps connection to the internet and i'm using an ASUS Router.

Things I have tried without solving the issue:

    -Factory reset on the TV.
-Unlink the tv on VUDU, relink back
-Unlink the tv on ROKU. relink back
    -Power reset both Modem/Router
    -2.4ghz and 5ghz Wifi
    -Also tried wired CAT5e connection
    -Speedtest.net shows Wifi speeds of 509/528mbps (iPhone11)

Feel this is a very rare issue, after using the platform for so many years. Would like to know if anyone has experienced this type of issues in the past.

    Regards
    Chris

Did you try to force a software update on the TCL? I get them regularly on mine when I check manually.

Are you using the Vudu app on the TV or do you have a separate streaming box connected?

I'll tell you that in the last couple months I've had my TCL the Roku portion has been TCL is nothing but problems. Coming from a Roku Ultra on my previous TV that the TCL replaced the interface on the TCL is much slower and the apps free or crash "fairly" often. Finally got tired of it and used my Roku Ultra connected to my TCL roku TV and all the issue I had using the TCL Roku TV went away.

Point being this might not be an issue with the Vudu app on the TCL but the Roku portion of the TV. Hence the regular updates I suspect and my Roku boxes elsewhere in the house don't update nearly as often.

issue still persists to this day using the VUDU app on the tv, now there’s a second film (Bram Stoker Dracula from 1992) showing the same issue when played in UHD.

Last time TV updated was on August 6.. with version 9.3.0 build 4194-88
