I have spent a YEAR trying to recover my password so I can log into my online account to update billing. (I watch on my smart tv and forgot the password. I can still watch on my tv, but I cant watch on anything else, or buy new movies without updating my billing info.)
The password recovery emails never arrive. Off and on through the months, I repeatedly seek help from Vudu through tickets, and they tell me to check spam and junk folders and/whitelist the auto password recovery email address. Yes yes, I have done that. Yes, yes, again. I have a comcast email address for my Vudu account. Comcast has no means to whitelist email addresses, but I have all possible settings and filters set so I can receive "suspected" spam and have it sent to a spam folder. I do receive other spam. I have added the vudu password recovery address to my contacts, but that is not the same as whitelisting. Nothing succeeds in getting the emails through.
Especially one configured to be as spam-triggering as email@email.vudu.com (which is the auto system address vudu uses for password resets). Talk about a spam-triggering address!
AFTER A YEAR of trying to recover my vudu password, and no help from vudu except to continue to direct me to the autoresponder password resets, and offer to call so they can help little old me 'find' their email in my junk/spam folders (THERE IS NOTHING THERE FROM VUDU EVER)...this week I spent an hour with comcast. The comcast analyst told me that this email address (email@email.vudu.com) IS being BLOCKED by their spam filters ---at the ISP---, and these will not be delivered to the subscriber.
I CAN NOT RECEIVE password reset emails from vudu. Vudu KNOWS their password recovery emails are sent often to spam folders, since that's in their directions about what to do and where to look, and how to whitelist. And vudu has been no help. In over 12 months of trying, I have received NO emails from email@email.vudu.com
Does anyone have next suggestions? I need a human OR a different email address to send me a password recovery link. And Vudu so far has not wanted to do that.
(EMAIL@EMAIL for a necessary support email address?? who thought up that brilliant piece of spam addressing? EMAIL@EMAIL yeah...sure.... that's going to get through these days of heightened email security..... Almost as if it was deliberately made the most spam-triggering address possible, so you have to make a new account. VUDU..if you want to be smart..instead of telling us we have to whitelist your spammy address, make a NEW VALID EMAIL like..oh I dont know....'password-reset@vudu.com'???? It would TAKE FIFTEEN MINUTES to create a new non-spammy email address, replace the old one's hook, and paste the responder. But nope, just continue on as you have been.. knowing its getting sent to spam for everyone, and telling them they have to deal with it as spam instead of email.)
