    Vudu/MA Connection Problems

    I tried calling Vudu and that person was not able to help. I also emailed Vudu but haven't heard back yet. FelipeF do you think you or someone else here with Vudu might be able to help?

    I was having trouble with some movies not transferring MA rights from Vudu to Movies Anywhere. I emailed Movies Anywhere and they recommended disconnecting and reconnection the Vudu/Movies Anywhere link. Unfortunately that didn't work and something seems to be wrong with the Vudu/MA link. Here is my reply to that email...

    "I tried to disconnect and reconnect but unfortunately I'm getting errors and cannot reconnect now.

    On Movies Anywhere's end, it says, "Unable to disconnect. Please try again or contact Movies Anywhere Customer Service". On Vudu's end it says, "There was an error. Please try again." But when I click "Retry", it just takes me back to the beginning and nothing changes the next time through."

    After sending the email I tried it several times again from each end before calling Movies Anywhere directly. They said that the problem was on Vudu's end and to call Vudu. I called Vudu and they said that it looked connected on their end and that I needed to call Movies Anywhere again. After another call with Movies Anywhere, they assured me it was on Vudu's end and sent me the below email to pass on to you in hopes of providing some information that might help Vudu resolve the problem.

    "Following our conversation, based on the error message we see reflected on your account, it appears as though your Vudu account is automatically denying or "forcibly unlinking" any connection request that is being sent from your Movies Anywhere account.

    With this in mind, a representative from Vudu's Customer Support will have to assist you further in troubleshooting your Vudu account."

    Can you tell me what titles are the ones that are not exporting out to your MA account? I'll be more than happy to assist you with this issue.

      I redeemed the croods and the croods 2 also, a new world and soul-redeemed in MA why are they not showing up in my vudu?(Croods 1 shows up) Strangely, I can look them up in vudu and it gives me the option to watch but they won’t show up in “My Vudu”? This also happens with some other movies I have as well. Can you let me know what’s up with that

          Thank you very much. I haven't been that thorough to see if there are more yet, but I've listed the titles I know below. However, right now I am probably more concerned with the connection issue and any problems that may continue as a result. (Edit: I messaged you my info just I case. )

          -Blumhouse's The Craft: Legacy [Did not transfer any MA rights at all.]
          -Doctor Sleep [Did not transfer any MA rights at all.]
          -The New Mutants [Did not transfer any MA rights at all.]
          -Spies in Disguise [Did not transfer any MA rights at all.]
          -Suicide Squad (Extended Cut) [Only transferred HD MA rights.]

            If it makes you feel any better, I'm having the exact same issues (basically your entire post, word for word). I tried to disconnect/reconnect to fix some porting issues too, but am now unable to reconnect. Hopefully it gets fixed for both of us this week!

              Taking no joy in your own issues, it does make me feel better that it may be a more common bug and not just a glitch unique to me. Hopefully it is fixed soon. For now I'm taking the silence as a sign that it's being looked into. Fingers crossed.

                  Still wondering about this myself. My last communication with MA was a follow-up email they sent me after several phone conversations. Their advice was to just keep trying to reconnect until VUDU had issued a fix. VUDU, on the other hand, has been pretty steadfast in asserting this is an MA issue. Generally speaking, when the two sides disagree, I tend to believe VUDU. However, this time I'm not sure, since VUDU is the only retailer currently experiencing MA connection issues.

                  Has anyone on the forum successfully disconnected & reconnected VUDU to MA in the last couple weeks? Curious how widespread this issue is.

                      I had a problem today. I redeemed two codes on MA that did not port over to my VUDU account. This has never happened to me before.

                        I'm trying to use Disc to Digital to buy movies to get some of the free Movies Anywhere bonus movies but it won't let me get past the step to re-link Vudu to Movies Anywhere. Today is the last day of the offer and I'm REALLY salty about it. I've been trying to get someone to fix this for weeks now. Vudu needs to fix this and owes me bonus movies from the promo I'm missing out on!

                          I ended up purchasing from other retailers to get around this. The problem with that is, A) other retailers were, in some cases, more expensive than VUDU, and B) obviously the movies still won't port until this is fixed.

                          An additional issue is that I'm not getting any Disney Movie Insiders (DMI) points for any of my recent Disney purchases on VUDU. I guess MA is the mechanism that "triggers" points being added to our account. My hope is that once this is fixed, I will retroactively get the points for Disney movies bought in the last month. I'm not hopeful though.

                          Hopefully this will finally be the week this gets fixed for us! Fingers crossed.

                            TRY CONNECTING RIGHT NOW! I've been trying multiple times per day, every day, for weeks (including several times earlier today). It just went through for me now.
