    Quest 2 app stopped working

Ever since Oculus updated the TV app about a week ago the Vudu app no longer works on my Quest 2. It starts fine, but when I try to watch anything in my library I get full audio, but just video artifacts at the top and bottom of the TV screen. Eventually it throws an app not responding error with the options to close or wait. It also whacks my Quest 2 after this happens and I have to reboot the headset to get normal functionality back. Anyone else seeing this? I have tried numerous 3D and regular movies and it is happening 100% of the time now.

    This!

Experiencing the exact same issue. New to Oculus, so wasn’t sure if this a a known issue or a new one.

Same thing here. Netflix, Prime Video, Bigscreen all work fine.

I'm having the exact same issue. I have a few dozen digital movies on Vudu, but since my picking up my OQ2 I was really hoping I could use it to see my 3D movies. Regardless of the movie type (3D or HD) the movie attempts to start then crashes horribly and takes my OQ2 with it. In most cases I have to fully reboot my whole headset. I am really hoping this is being fixed quickly. Please!

Same here. Is their a fix in the works. That was one of the main reasons I bought the Oculus for

We are aware of this issue and our engineers have been investigating the cause of this bug. I will update this thread once I have more information.

Thanks for that update. Looking forward to a solution. I even bought a few more 3D movies when the app came out. Looking forward to watching them :-)

UPDATE: We have identified the issue as being on Facebook/Meta side. They are giving an estimated time of resolution as sometime next week. The fix should resolve the video issues you've been experiencing.

Not fixed as of today 1/22. There was an update for Oculus TV app, but that did not fix it. Oddly if I go to channels in the TV app I now have 2 entries for Vudu. One blurry icon that just says Vudu and 1 normal looking icon that says Vudu Fandango. neither one works still.

                          Seems to be fixed now.

Anybody know how to get to full screen on the Oculus 2 app?

The Oculus issue has now been fixed on their end. You can update your device by going to Quick Settings -> Settings - > System -> Software Update. There will be an Icon in the top right where you can click to update. Once updated and your device restarts, playback will work as expected.

Now that it's working again, is there a way to dim the background, so all I can see is a virtual screen? If not, that would be a nice feature to have. In a perfect world, the screen would be in a virtual theater space like the Amazon Prime Video app or Bigscreen VR (which offers 3D movie rentals from Paramount) have.
