    Payment issue on google tv

    We recently bought a new Hisense tv. It allows multiple people to log in their google accounts, especially important for YouTube in our household. However, we only have 1 vudu account. It has been linked to MoviesAnywhere. We tried to rent a movie on Vudu over the weekend, we logged in using the owner's account. It said his name. Google (youtube) was signed into that main user. However, when we tried to rent the movie only the other users credit card information showed up. We could not find out how to change that information. We ended up deleting the other user, and then the main user's payment information showed up.

    My son (secondary user) added his google account back to the tv today, and Vudu is back to using only his payment information and not my husbands. When I go to google play, it says my husband's account is the active one.

    How can we get it to use only my husband's account? We don't want to have to keep deleting the information for my son.

    I’m at a loss at to what you’re trying to do.

    as far as I’m aware Vudu doesn’t have multiple profiles.

    You can create multiple Vudu accounts and each one can of course have their own payment.

    But each person would have to log out of Vudu and then log into their account. The next person would do the same.

    YouTube lets you have separate accounts with separate google emails but keep them all logged into one app and you ca. just switch between them. For a family I guess that’s ok. But for say a roommate situation that’s a bit more of liability than I can accept.

      You are correct, there is only 1 profile/account to Vudu. When we open the Vudu app on our new tv (this was not an issue with the old tv), we select a movie to rent. Click on it opens a Confirm Purchase screen. On this screen it says Charged to: Google Play. After that, you click the price again, and it opens a screen to select payment options. When we do that it only lists my son's credit cards, which are in NO way affiliated with the Vudu account. If we log onto Vudu website, it shows my husbands credit card as the payment option.

      What we want to do is make the TV app use the same information as the Website. In either the TV app, and website, we can not find a way to make it not charge the google play, or even where it has a place to select payment other than the screen that goes to my son's email/payment options.

      We deleted my son's google account off the TV, and then the Vudu app used my husband's credit card information as it's supposed to do. While we can delete the my son's google account each time, it is not a preferred solution.

        Yeah, sounds like some of the fantastic Google integration. Short of doing it the way you said I don't see any other way of doing it; nor do I expect it will change.
