It's working again for me as of late last night.

Thankfully, the one movie I wanted to watch (Salem's Lot, 1979) had synced from Vudu with Amazon Prime, so I just watched it there last night, and stopped f***ing with Vudu after posting here.

I just came to the site on my work laptop just now, and was already logged in from yesterday, and my whole library is intact (I log everything I redeem & purchase with Libib - I'd recommend it to anyone with larger catalogs, and it's free [though I still donate money yearly]).

After posting this, I'll try it on my personal cell phone, but I'll have to wait to get home tonight to try it on my Roku again...

same same right now 4-16-24. I went through this a month ago, nothing changed, it simply started working again.
        I have a CenturyLink modem,
multiple multiple passwword resets and changes,
have done multiple PC network resets,
        power cycles reboots,
tried 3 browsers, and resets and file clears on those...
        modem resets....
last time this happened, I created a VUDU trouble ticket and the next day it simply started working again, and now it is doing it again.

I COULD blame centurylink, becuase it seems this is the bottle neck... but why? All other everything still works fine: Max.com, prime video logins and playing, disney, youtube, email, gaming, all of everything else is working just fine.... except VUDU login.

When I access vudu over my cell phone data, it works, but not PC Edge browser? Also failing on ROKU, but that is going through the same centurylink modem.

I don't know what the problem is - other than it points to MY modem - except that last time this happened, I changed nothing, and it simply started working again.

Maybe some of this detail will help others some how.

magic fix: on centurylink moden, press and hold RESET BUTTON on back while it is powered on, hold for 10 seconds, and release when power light turns amber.

          this fixed it for me.

Apparently, this hard reset clears more out than a modem menu reboot, or even a power cycling. Vudu/FN logs in and works again.

            We doing this again, Fandango?

I want to give you more money for a movie, but you're saying you "can't log [me] in, call Customer Service."

            Get your sh** together.

I'm more worried about my library with this sh** than when Vudu took back the digital redeemed copies from a shady website that sold bad codes.

I got an email from Fandango today asking me to sync my login accounts between Fandango (ie Movie Tickets) and Fandango At Home (ie Vudu).

              Any relation I wonder.

I did that. I was successfully logged in. I bought a movie that was listed for the longest time but not purchasable. Then I tried to see if my 404 page not found movie was fixed yet (it isn't), and now I can't login again.

And when I synced both Fandango accounts, I made sure ahead of time that they both had the same password, so I know I'm using the correct one.

JFC, Fandango, Vudu wasn't without its bugs, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

this happened yet again to me recently. I opened a support ticket, then, couple days later, with no communications, it mysteriously started working again... everywhere but at my home.

I'm on century link, and after a bunch of research, I did some stuff and fixed this myself.
The issue is clearly fandango at home, and not centurylink gear, in that, all other streamers have always worked 100% perfectly fine, only FAH/VUDU has these issues.

                    - the thing about having a different email for for fandango.com and vudu.com did not work FOR ME. I changed emails, and it didn't help anything.
                    - updating the password did not help me
                    - power cycling or rebooting the modem do not help login
                    - I have no VPNs in play, this was never the issue

I wasn't scientific in what I did, but here's what I did and something of it must have helped, maybe this will help others on Century Link or else where:

                    1. I RESET my home centurylink modem by holding the reset button in while it was powered on, until the power light changed color. this wipes out all your personalized wifi and other setups.
                    2. I unplugged the POWER cord from modem, and also disconnected the DSL cable that went to the wall. Unplugging that for about 5 minutes make the connection box down the street maybe reset its network pathing, and could help this issue. Plugging power and DSL back in, the modem reconnects and configures the hardware connection to the box down the street, MAYBE cleaning up network traffic flow.
                    3. I DISABLED both 2.4G and 5G WIFI inside my modem, and was able to login to vudu on webpage again. I don't know which of these steps cured it. Maybe all of them?
                    4. Reendabled both WIFIs and reset to my settings, all while logging out and back in to vudu at each step to be sure the modem didn't fire up some weird networking addressing translations required for its wifi. Everything kept working.

                    5. I tested my phone, and wifi ROKU vudu and they are working correctly now.
                    6. JUST IN CASE, I also RESET my Windows 11 networking, and at CMD prompt did a ipconfig /flushdns, but doubt that was needed as the choke point was always at the modem itself.

In the past, just unplugging the modem seemed to cure failed login.
Then, it started needing a FACTORY RESET.
Now, I feel like maybe the powering off and unhooking DSL line for 5 minutes forcing the network reset down the street might have been the answer.
OR maybe it was disabling the WIFI, then logging in, then reendabling WIFI.

I say this is Fandango's issue because:
                    - It didn't happen to me before they took over
                    - although it seems to be with centurylink modems (reading other's issues too), it used to work just fine with no gear changes, all competative streamers I use work perfectly fine pointing to Fandango doing something not so brilliant in thier network security setup, possibly triggering something in CenturyLink modems - that no other streamers I've used ever had a problem with.

If (when) it happens again, I will try to be more scientifiic to isolating the issue cause and remedy.

Hope some of this will help others.

Since you can't change the address on your Vudu account because you are locked out, change the email address on your fandango.com account in the account settings.

If you can't do that either, call customer support at 1 (888) 554-8838.

Again, YOU can't have an identical email address on both accounts.
It says "Fandango" not "Fandango at Home" which is what Vudu is now called. Vudu no longer exists.

And I'm not changing the default e-mail address I use for everything to an e-mail I never check & only have for random one-off things (which is why I was fine changing it on my Fandango account). For a company doing a "seamless takeover" to demand we completely change our accounts in order to keep using them, that's neither seamless, nor what these types of takeovers are supposed to be. The company I work for just bought another smaller similar company, and literally nothing changed for the absorbed employees except the name on their paychecks/business cards. They were able to keep using their same e-mail address, despite the domain changing from "@companyX.com" to "@companyZ.com" (and they didn't have to change anything themselves). And Fandango is a larger company than the one I work for.

Also, I changed my e-mail address on my Fandango account per that other thread's post, and I still can't get into my "Fandango At Home" account in this web browser (the most current version of Chrome).

yeah I read it wrong. I had changed my fandango.com account email (that i never use anyway) and it didn't help me at all

ok, login fail happened again, but this time I only DISABLED WIFI, and that got me back in. I'm on CenturyLink.

What an annoying setup Fandango At Home/Vudu network is using that chokes this up where Amazon, Max.com, Disney, Youtube, and Paramount+ are not suffering from this networking hiccup. They just work fine.

I'm sure they would say it has something to do with security required by the studios.

Does MoviesAnywhere have the same issue for you?

Not sure if I have access to MoviesAnywhere.... I might have one thing linked from there... let me try...

Logged right in to that wihtout issue. I'm now confused what that is? Looks like my whole collection is over there too.

Only MA comparable titles are there. Not all. It’s another way to watch MA titles you own on Vudu. They have an app for Roku and most other streaming boxes as well.
