Rented UHD (Sully), iOS VUDU app shows ONLY HDX when connected to Chromecast Ultra

How can I get the UHD version to play on my Chromecast Ultra, iOS Vudu app would only show the rented movie as HDX, although I selected and payed the UHD version.

Chromecast Ultra connected via hdmi to the Samsung UE60 KS7000

    Thanks

I don't think the iOS app supports UHD streaming at all. You will need to use a device that is Vudu UHD enabled.

Yeah, it does. At the end of the day, the iOS device isn't doing any UHD streaming at all - it's just directing the Chromecast to what file it should pull down from Vudu.

OP - it's showing HDX only because that's the highest resolution you can play on the device itself, but when you begin Casting it it will Cast as UHD if that's what you have.

Well I wasnt daring to press play on the hdx icon, as then I would have only 24 hours to figure out why its not UHD.. and given the period it took for my post here to be moderated and published plus replies my rented timeframe was over already. so I shall give it a try, eh?
