I got tired of the router for my router/modem combo from Comcast so I went out and bought a D-Link DGL4100. I configured my new router with my static ip/gateway/dns servers assigned to me by Comcast and have the firewall turned off for it in the Comcast router. I like it a lot. Even after I fixed my problem with the Comcast router locking up that I mentioned on the other thread, there were glitches over the week. Everything seems to run much smoother with this.
My question is that this router has a log and I found a bunch of entries in it where UDP packets that appear to be destined for my Vudu boxes are getting blocked. For example:
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:18:03 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 68.100.48.136:8101 to 173.11.91.145:53975

There aren't so many entries to make me think that Vudu just isn't working properly, and I do have the green network light and am able to watch movies. Also, there are similar sets of entries for my other Vudu boxes so it isn't specific to any particular boxes. Are these occasional bunches of blocked packets to be expected or are they an indication of a problem of any kind? I just want to make sure that my firewall isn't doing something that it shouldn't be doing.
