    Download speed

I have a new LG 60PK750 TV with the LG wireless LAN for Broadband/DLNA Adaptor. The TV came with VUDU preinstalled. I can download movies but only in SD - when I do the network speed test at the TV it shows a download speed of only about 2.25 Mbps but when I do the same test at my desktop computer, which is right next to the modem and router, I get a download speed of 8.2 Mbps. My ISP provided router is an EnGenius 11G Wireless Nano Router. I'm fairly sure that the problem is the location of my TV in relation to the router - The TV is in my finished basement and the router in my first floor office so there is quite a distance between the two as well as walls etc. My question is: How do I fix this? Moving the router and modem is probably not an option. Can I install a second, possibly wired, router and modem or maybe just a modem or is there some other less expensive fix? Appreciate any help.

I would look into powerline adapters. I would try one just to test it out of it helps. If not, you can always return it.
