    HDX buffering issues

    I am experiencing buffering issues with an HDX movie I just purchased and it is showing I only have one bar (HD is fine, full strength). Previously I have not had problems with HDX until today. My network speeds are fine (over 35mbps down) and I have tried on both my PS3 and Samsung HT apps.

    Any ideas?

      Thank you. I waited till later at night and it ran with no issues so it seems the issue is resolved.

        I have also been having HDX streaming issues consistently over the past few months. I have a 30/5 internet connection QOS router dedicated when video is streaming. This is not a bandwidth or network equipment issue.

        Im getting pretty fed up with purchasing HDX movies and having to watch them in HD.

        Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

          I too have had to watch most of my HDX rentals in HD. I do Vudu bandwidth checks and am getting 16-18 megs a sec, all I can think of it's not an issue at Vudus end, my TV ( I use a Samsung adapter plugged into the tv) is the problem.

            Would you be willing to provide us with a trace route? What type of device are you using to stream HDX?

              I have a terrible time streaming HDX. I did a speed test at vudu.com and was getting 11.1MB down.

              I am happy to provide a trace route. What address should I use?

                  I too have had problems recently with HDX. I have download speeds of min. 15 mbps. HD downloads from Amazon, etc. work fine, and HD from Vudu may as well but I have not tried them. The Vudu test says HDX should work fine.
                  After re-buffering is attempted, I get the network issues message and am told to try again later.
                  Vudu is an app on my Toshiba 2500 Blu-Ray and the Amazon service is through my Roku but I doubt the hardware has anything to do with this.
                  Can you give me exact process for doing a traceroute and submitting it to you? Thanks.

                      Also my device does not have the option to run a speed test? I have downloaded the newest app for my Samsung DVD player, and I cannot see an option to run a speed test... I have run a speed and jitter test with a laptop pluggedinto the same router that the DVD player is plugged into, and get 28 Mbs Down and 4.69 Mbs Up. I don't think it is a bandwidth issue!

                          Very aggravated tonight. Can't stream HDX, went to HD. nothing but buffering isssues. SD was even buffering until a few moments ago. Using a Sony Blu-Ray and have not had issues previously. Anyone know what's going on?

                            The device has always been hardwired! I fully understand the concept of Buffering, and I am sure that this is not a "Samsung Issue" Every other app works flawlessly.
