Why are some UHD Google Play movies show up as HDX in VUDU?

I redeemed four UHD movies from The Fast and the Furious collection in Google Play. My Google Play account is linked with VUDU. Why is only one of the movies showing up in VUDU as UHD, and the other three as HDX?

    - The Fast and the Furious (1) - HDX
    - 2 Fast 2 Furious (2) - HDX
    - The Fast and the Furious - Tokyo Drift (3) - HDX
    - The Fate of the Furious (8) - UHD

Possibly different versions. There are often regular and extended / directors those titles.

Without looking at all the MANY versions I notice I have 1-4 regular edition in HDX and 5-8 extended in UHD.

Pretty sure I have UHD on all, but just depends on which title / version.

The first three movies don't have two versions as far as I know. That's only with the later sequels. I think 5, 6, 7, and 8.

First were these movie codes from a blu-ray or 4k UHD blu-ray?

Are the digital rights in moviesanywhere 4k or HD? If they are only HD in moviesanywhere they will only transfer into vudu as HD.

If google play didn't give 4k rights at the exact time of code redemption and only gave HD rights first they will only transfer to moviesanywhere as HD.

Google play does upgrade some blu-ray codes from HD to 4k but it usually takes about 24 hours and those 4k movies can only be viewed in 4k on google play and those titles will not transfer to moviesanywhere or any other service in 4k.

If you have a 4k code from a 4k UHD and want 4k right the best thing to do is directly redeem the code on moviesanywhere..

They were from the 4K UHD blu-ray. The digital rights are in Google Play. The cards with the digital codes even say UHD in the bottom corner.

MoviesAnywhere also redeems them as HD. Only Google Play gives me a 4K version.

Contact Universal Pictures support. Explain the problem and they will re-issue new codes that you will need to redeem directly via MoviesAnywhere.

If they are HD in Movies Anywhere, then it's either a Google or MA problem. Vudu just imports the rights from MA.
