Dell Venue 8 Pro Playback Issue

I tried to play HDX and HD video from VUDU on the Dell Venue 8 Pro on Internet Explorer 11, which has full Windows 8.1 installed. However, I got a message that it was not HDCP compliant and could not play (despite it being a HD screen at 800x1200). I called Dell and was told on the phone that it was a "basic" tablet and that because it was Windows 32 bit, it could not play HD video. This does not sound right however as many Windows 32 bit devices can play HD and HDX Vudu with no issue.

    Can anything be done?

I'm dealing with this same issue. Some googling says this is due to this tablet not having an HDMI out so there's no HDCP processing capability or the resolution. I hope maybe there's an app in the future to fix this.

could it possible that your files are not compatible with Windows 8.1? what is the file format of your vudu files? you can use media info to check about your file information, or you can try to download free media player to solve that, for the most video media players have the innder codec to allow different formats to playback smoothly.
