Error 5002 'Another device is playing this' or PC when nothing else is using account?

So lately when watching stuff on VUDU to Go on PC, whatever I'm watching will be interrupted with a black screen and the error "Another device on your account has started playing this movie. [#5002]" This usually happens when the player needs to buffer (I'm streaming and I skip to a different part of the video, or I have it playing in the background so it's priority for Internet access is lowered), and a lot of the time it happens as soon as I open the video.

I can say for a certainty that no other device is actively using my account when these errors pop up. I know what devices my account is associated with, and most of the time they're not even on when these errors occur, much less using VUDU. The only possible exception is the Roku HDMI stick that turns on when someone turns the TV on, but I can confirm the stick has not been in use (and has probably gone into sleep mode), much less using VUDU, much less watching the same thing as I am in the next room over. I even tried temporarily dissociating all computers with my account to make sure the problem wasn't because another computer was using it.

The video usually plays normally if I just close and re-open it. It's still annoying though and can break the experience.

I haven't been having any problems watching through the Roku channel.

I think this started with a recent update - I'm currently using version 2.2.4 on Windows. This has occurred across Windows 7, 8.1, and Windows 10.

Any ideas on what's going on?

Exact same problem with PC Vudo to go application. I'm 100% no one else is using my account. Restarting the video after the error works but the error comes back after a few minutes. Very annoying.

I'm getting this message on a Mac. I have no other device in use. I've never watched this movie on any other device.

I'm getting this exact same error. I have been for quite some time now. I want this fixed as I've spent hundreds of dollars on HDX titles and would like to enjoy them in HDX or UHD format. I can still watch all of them in standard definition but I paid mucho cash for HDX and UHD. Vudu you need to rectify this immediately as this is not the only thread on the forums with people complaining about this and have been for some time. I don't want to hear the usual have you deactivated other devices babble as the answer will of course be yes. PLEASE, PLEASE fix this. It's infuriating. I have a beautiful 4K screen and would really like to take advantage of the content I already own! I will not be purchasing anything else until I'm assured this is fixed. The crazy thing is it works in SD just none of the high def options... Absurd.

We hope to have a fix for this bug soon, it's currently under testing.

Vudu causes my dsl modem to reboot. I have over 1100 movies I've purchased on Vudu, that's thousands of dollars worth of movies that I can not watch on more then 1 TV in my home. I have 4 TV's, and 3 won't stream vudu. I've tried buying Roku 4K sticks to watch Vudu movies on other TVs and no luck. Every streaming service on the Roku stick and on the blu rays streams just fine except Vudu. On both the Roku sticks and blu-rays that are connected to my TVs the Vudu movie will stream for about 20 seconds and then cause my dsl modem to reboot - I can only watch movies on 1 TV in my house. I guess I made a huge mistake choosing to build my digital library with vudu instead of Amazon Prime. I've contacted Vudu about this problem and they choose to point the finger at Roku or my ISP. Why it only happens using vudu streaming and NOT hulu, netflix, roku, etc.seems to point ONLY to vudu. I only have 4 devices registered on vudu - only 1 TV works. I'm truly disappointed in Vudu.and wish I could get my $1000s of dollars back.
