Re: Failed Downloads: Error (3328:898)
This is my very first posting on here. Usually, I don't take the time to do this. But I have way too much invested in my library of VUDU movies to let this slide. I ran into this exact same issue on my new iPad Pro 10.5 (my ISP is Time Warner blah, blah, blah...I don't think that all matters). I've downloaded movies onto my PC before with no problem. But I had this exact problem several times on my iPad: "Download Failed: (3328:898)." So I first, I tried this...
And just to be absolutely sure, I also followed this advice (since I also usually rename the device to make it simpler to identify).
I powered down my iPad, and then back on again...deleted the device...logged back on...which added the device again...and downloaded a different movie than the first one that gave me problems. Yet, I'm still getting the same error. I did not delete and reset all of my devices, because why should my televisions impact my iPad? I also did not uninstall and reinstall the app yet, so perhaps that may help (but earlier posts seemed to indicate that doesn't help either and just wastes more time).
VUDU, please fix this. We have spent a lot of money on our movies, and we shouldn't have to stand on our heads while rubbing our stomachs and singing a show tune to get your app to work correctly. I may have to just purchase the Blu-Rays, since you're making it awfully difficult to justify giving you my money instead.
Thank you for your time and help! I'm quite frustrated at the moment, but really do appreciate it...
UPDATE: I called into technical support for a different issue, and when the gentleman was so helpful with that I asked about this also. I upgraded my operating system on my iPad to iOS 11, and now it works great! So that's the good news. The bad news is that is when I discovered that although you can stream HDX movies on an iPad, you can only download the SD versions?!?! They look awful on a brand new iPad Pro with retina display. How ridiculous. I'm getting increasingly concerned that I may have chosen unwisely as I've built up my movie collection in VUDU. The momentum seems to favor Apple, Google, Amazon, etc.
