Playback not working on Android Nougat update

    Hi there,

I have been unable to watch any movies at all since my Droid Turbo 2 (running Android Nougat) updated this past month. Is there a fix coming for this? I've tried uninstalling, force stopping, clearing caches, even factory resetting my phone. The only error message I get is the "Sorry, something went wrong. Please restart app to continue watching".

This was fixed a few weeks back. Have you updated the Android app to the latest version?

I have, I have also uninstalled/reinstalled the app, cleared the cache, force stopped, even factory reset my phone after doing numerous normal restarts. This app is not playing video at all on my phone. Verizon had just released a patch update for Nougat and that's when it seemed to have stopped working.

Can I hop on this thread as well? I'm still having trouble, cleared everything, reinstalled 2 days ago, still no go.

My error is "Encountered problems during playback. Please restart Vudu and try again".
No amount of restarts, reinstalling, or updating has fixed it, including phone reboots.

I have been having having the same problem with my Droid Turbo 2 for the last couple months. Has there been any progress on solving it? Is there anyone even working the issue?

Any change to this? I reinstalled last week, but this has been broken for so long and with Flixster going, I'm don't have ways to play my UV movies.

Re: Playback not working on Android Nougat update

The Moto Turbo 2 bug is actually a bug on Motorola's end. We have reached out to them to let them know the importance of getting this issue resolved for our customers. They are aware of the issue and have a forum link dedicated to this issue among others that affect the Turbo 2. There's nothing more we can do at this point but wait for Motorola to release a software update to fix this bug. Please contact Motorola directly for more details on the status of a possible fix.
