Let me say this in no uncertain terms - I know of no way for a user on Ebay to sell their Vudu bucks credits. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Magnolia inside BB does not yet carry the Vudu. Only standalone stores.

And I think Ed's correct. If a user closes their account, any cash balance is refunded. The Vudu bucks go away. That is how I believe it works.

This guy with the $100 Vudu bux was an evangelist who didn't want to proselytize! Sad that the program was wasted on people like that and not on people like you Aaron who would have made good use of the product! Vudu does have some really good evangelists, but some stinky ones too...

If I were you, I'd ask the seller for proof that they can deliver the $100 credit, or an agreement to refund you the $100 if they've held an auction for something that can't be sold.
    Thanks!

No incentives and i'll bite at $250, with incentives I'll go higher.....snip.....

I think some BestBuy/Magnolia stores carry the box, but I don't know if BB credit can be used there. Worth a try, maybe?

I'm still holding out hope that VUDU will have another $250 sale. If they do I will purchase it from them immediately.
But I also wouldn't expect any chance of that until the current promotion has expired. So unfortunately I'm pretty much looking at February for my VUDU purchase now.

I'm just not having any luck on Ebay gettingthe VUDU box. I went as high as $360 with shipping and lost and also lost on only $225. I guess I'm going to end up waiting until February to get one and lose out on the free Bourne movies and the $50 promotion. I guess I'll have to hope they offer it for $250 again. AT this point I'll have to jump on it if they do.

I am pretty sure that the current generation XL is not 1.3 capable...

Crap! I bought a 2007 in August. Now you got me ****ed. I would have waited. At least my new Ford Fusion and my wife's new Lincoln MKX have the new Sync feature.

As Ron stated, it probably would be suicide if normal Vudu content were not available.

However, being that we don't know what is in the XL boxes yet, we don't know what expanded capabilities they may have that is simply not possible with the standard box.

It may seem "unfair" but companies all the time and routinely release products with features and capabilities that older products didn't have. A few months after I bought my 17" iMac (iLamp model) with USB 1.1, Apple released a USB 2.0 version. I bought my 5.5 Gen iPod last June. Yet today, not even a year later, I can't play rented iTunes content on it. The 2008 Honda Odyssey has Bluetooth. My 2006 model does not. I could go on.

I don't think that would happen. VUDU would be committing suicide if they did.

    I'm just sayin'.

No problem, you probably just missed the Full Hard drive thread I posted earlier in the week. It is all good for the moment, they deleted all my 25 or so TV shows to make room, which while not a perfect solution, has allowed me to use my hard drive again for now. Hopefully, they find a solution soon, because I've been reluctant to put much new on my hard drive, for now.

Plus Apple has a pretty sophisticated DRM system with FairPlay. I wish Vudu did have something like that so we could download content and play it on authorized devices.
Well I would not be surprised if ATV2 ends up being hackable as well, and your right it would be nice if you could move content from VUDU to other devices, or at least to other vudu devices if nothing else.

Personally, I don't get the whole issue with storing content offline to be honest. After-all, if the content is encrypted, why does it matter where is resides, as long as people don't break the encryption.
