The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Fandango at Home customers with questions and/or problems with their Fandango at Home service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Fandango at Home Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

    This is the first question I had. I hope that the BX100 owners aren't left out like we were with the instant HDX viewing.

      nope. I just checked...it's not there.

      I think it is horrible that those of us who were willing to take the risk and buy these boxes at $300 and helped get Vudu's name out there have been totally left in the dumpster. that is two enhancements in a row. I think we deserve better...apparantly they don't.

            I wasn't aware that there is a possibility to get HDX instant viewing....how can this be accomplished on an integrated HDTV and not on a stand alone box? I don't know much about these things but it would seem to be the same delivery system through an internet connection no?

            I hope someone from VUDU can reply to this thread and confirm that a stand alone box owner will get all of these upgrades as they become available.

              Well it appears that the TVs have a completely different mechanism for movie delivery. They use a streaming model with no HD where the STBs use a P2P network using the HD as a storage mechanism. So I would guess there a some servers dedicated to delivering movies for the streaming platform while the STBs serve up the movies for each other. Since most people have much lower upstream bandwidth than for downloading, it seems likely that there wouldn't be enough bandwidth to sustain it. If they tried, I'd imagine that people would complain about Vudu taking up too much of their upstream bandwidth.

              That's just a guess though and perhaps they will enable it on the STBs at some point.
