    Consumer Reports compares "net-capable gear"

    The full review is available, but to sum it up, they cited Vudu's HDX as the best quality available, but Vudu came in second behind Amazon VOD for the number of titles (they have most current TV shows available), and the chart made the rental prices look higher than other services, although they didn't seem to take into account Vudu's 99 cent back-catalog titles. (Those are still around, I hope.)

      They are higher than every other service. It's a massive barrier to adoption. I've actually given up selling people on Vudu as I know they will just switch off as soon as the topic of price comes up. Hollywood will continue to loose money with $1 dollar redbox rentals for as long they continue to charge $6 for the on-demand version.
